    Adventurer profession - Bugs list

    This is a round-up list of profession specific bugs. This will remain a closed thread, maintained by Vassilis and myself.

    This bug list is for the convenience of the Devs and serves as a quick reference. This bug list does not, by any means, replace or change the proper procedure to report bugs.

    Please always bear in mind: the forum is a good place to share information but it is still not the proper place to report bugs.
    Bug reports for RK1, RK2, and RK3 should be submitted via email: bugs@anarchy-online.com.

    Current Bugs
    1. Skin Protection + Bio Cocoon
      Skin Protection is a self Absorb shield run in a players NCU via Research Action from the Gunslinger research line. Skin Protection does ChangeVariable Wearer 15 ticks at 2 minutes AbsorbXYZAC 150. This effect will overwrite other absorb shields (Cyclic Damage Shields, Bio Cocoon) but leave the existing nanos in the Player's NCU. Conflicting Absorb shields like this are not ideal. Ideally, as Bio Cocoon is triggered by user input, not by random chance as Skin Protection is, Bio Cocoon should be overwriting Skin Protection.
      —Scum Edit: Since defensive procs don't appear to proc on absorbed damage, Skin Protection will only actually proc after an already-running absorb has been depleted.

    2. Beckoning (Perk Special from AI Perk Line "The Call" Level 1)
      If a player has a damage override in effect (ADV using Poisonous bite, MA using damage boost nanos, Adventurer wearing Bracer of Recondite Flames/The Sacrificed Bracelet of Kay, Enforcer using Enforcer Element nanos) the damage will be changed to cold - as intended. When the perk special ends the old damage override will not be restored so the player's damage type will revert to the original damage, even though the original damage override is still running/equipped. (MAs will be doing Melee damage even though Fists of Stellar Harmony is still running in their NCU.

      This bug is not limited to this perk special, AO can't restore override flags. For example a MP can cast Quantum Wings then equip a yalm and terminate quantum wings. The MP would then fall to the ground and not be able to fly even though they still have their yalm equipped.

    3. Un-Repairable Reign of Patricia
      This gun is no longer dropping. Best estimated last drop sighting is November 2003.

    4. Stoneworks
      Stoneworks seems to be resisted even though it is flagged NoResistCannotFumble. (Possible line of sight issues?) Further testing required.

      Status: Unconfirmed or need more info.

    5. Wolf Aura
      Leader of the Pack and Mother Wolf share the same stacking order, so they can overwrite each other even though Mother Wolf is the better nano.
      Mother Wolf also stops refreshing after one hour without zoning

    6. Charring Blow (Exploration 6)
      Observed ''explosion'' animation going off with no damage sometimes, but have only been able to reproduce on the brieflabb punching bag on test server. Presumably related to the NPC type 220, whatever that is.


    7. Flaming Hit (Game Warden 1) and Basic Dressing (Wilderness Lore 1)
      Both of these cause a nano cast/recharge which interferes with normal nano casting.


    8. Acrobat perk actions (Limber, Dance of Fools) and Awakening (The Call 10) and negative Nano C. Init.
      Nano initiative sufficiently below zero causes these perk actions to have long cast/recharge that can even be interrupted or cancelled by jumping, which doesn't seem like intended behavior for perk actions.


    9. No damage increase from Attack Rating greater than 3501
      Though this has very little impact currently due to MBS on any weapon worth equipping, it is certainly odd! Likely not exclusive to Adventurers. Not true for Martial Artists.




    Fixed Bugs
    • Ofab Adventurer Boots
      Improved Ofab Adventurer Boots give more Adventuring Skill than the further upgraded Penultimate Ofab Adventurer Boots. Looking at other stats, Penultimate Ofab Adventurer Boots should give 75 Adventuring not 45.
      Status: Fixed

    • Aesir Absorption: Aesir Absorption effect has AttackTime and RechargeTime. Most Research Actions have no AttackTime and RechargeTime (the execute instantly). Due to the AttackTime and RechargeTime on this action an Adventurer may find themselves unable to heal or run other nanos at a critical time.
      Status: Fixed

    • Durable Bandages: Durable Bandages team heal nano has an attack and recharge time that will run on all players in the Adventurer's team when Durable Bandages fires. Most Research Actions have no AttackTime and RechargeTime (they execute instantly). Due to the AttackTime and RechargeTime on this action an Adventurer and teammates may find themselves unable to heal or run other nanos at a critical time.
      Status: Fixed

    • Veterans L33t Transformation + Rabies The Veterans L33t Transformation nano allows a Bureaucrat to morph an Adventurer in order to run Rabies on the Adventurer who was otherwise protected from this attack.
      Status: Fixed (Vet l33t was given a 11.5s recharge in patch 17.4.1)

    • Animation stutter
      Another long standing bug, brought up many times but still remains to this day. Animation stutter occurs while in any of the bird polymorph forms (reet/flurry/parrot).
      Status: Fixed? (I looked at all the birdies and failed to observe this. –Scum)

    • Misdiagnosis:
      The -50 Heal Modifier only seems to be impacting a Doctor's heal nanos, but not their heal perks such as Battle Group Heal from the Assault Force Medic perkline.
      Status: Fixed (or was possibly never a bug, though the doctor perk ''Team Heal'' is not affected by heal eff. mods at all, unlike the adv. team heal perk ''Awakening''

    • Requirements on OFAB Adventurer Protective Gear
      Quality 300 OFAB Adventurer Protective Gear requires 1045 Agility and 900 SENSE to equip.

      All other OFAB Adventurer Armor parts require 1045 Agility and 900 STRENGTH to equip.
      Status: Fixed in 18.4.8
