The Royally Weird Dymanics of AO's Programming

Did you know that the speed at which the camera zooms in and out from your character is directly based on Run Speed?

    Weird, but true!

    Question

Wow, my invisible cameraman has a runspeed of 700! Neat.

    What about buffs/debuffs? Any effect?

They seem not to work or do antyhing to your Camera, but they don't take NCU. Hmm, I wish all my useful buffs were hostile, so they took no NCU.

Did you know to fix the "falling damage" bug with mission elevators, they disabled falling damage in all indoor zones?

Hmm, so implants and token board bonus etc have no effect on camera speed...crud, my camera is slow. I need to spend some IP

Guess newbies can't kill themselves in the tradeskills section anymore either. Geronimo!

Did you know that anything that adds "Delta" as in Health Delta or Nano Delta simply adds that number to the amount naturally generated?

Did you know that aggression on Robots from Crats Aggro buff is actually a missing Modification? What you buff your robot with is "201Missing 57"

Did you know 1k Token Boards also have a missing stat? Theirs is "315Missing 4"

Um, that's what Delta means, Lucid: change.

    From Webster's Online
3: an increment of a variable
edit: I tried to put the Delta symbol in here, but it was a lost cause. :-(

I think that missing stat on 1k boards is "Add Nano Damage" some kind of leftover from early on when there was an actual Nano AC.

Yes, but Funcom's descriptions are vague.

    Description of Soothing Calm:
The nano point restoration rate of the target is increased by a moderate amount.

    Description of Titans Physique:
Increases the maximum health of the target by 416 points. This also has a minor beneficial effect on the target's natural rate of regeneration.

For a long time, people thought that the Delta increases increased the speed at which you regenerated, not the amount in which you regenerate. To say the least, these nanos are useless for that respect along.

Edit: Miirs example above is a better example.

Did you know range extenders do nothing for the game (capped?)

Did you know most classes have been nerfed on average 15.3 different ways?

Did you know FunCom introduces nerfs to balance the game instead of actually fixing the problem?
