    Ok the balance for the whole game- PvP is a small part and included in the thougth process

    overbalanced---

    Agent
    Meta

    about right still to powerfull in all

    Traders

    balanced

    Doc
    Fixer
    Ma
    Engy
    Crat
    enforcer

    Needs help

    NT
    Soldier
    Advents


    With this i have reasons behind each

    Agent. Aimed shot damage at 10k ( getting it at level 100 )
    Every buff in the game. ( using ql 200 items at level 80)
    lots more.

    MP. Nano shutdown
    only int/psy bonus-- and self only -- Odins eye
    casting all nanos by level 125.
    more then i can say


    next batch

    Trader. Wrangles and ransacks.
    loss of HP stacking made them less uber

    The balanced lot, that need to catch to the top of the food chain.

    Doc. Well Awsome in PvP with healing. if you do it right.
    Agro to high on team missions.
    untill level 125 it is hard to do things
    treatment buff and HP buff
    Epsolon purge is nerfed

    Fixer. Great new Fixer grid
    Better drop of GA
    Nice Hots stackable
    Still has Deep blue Nano Skills

    MA. Healing is slow but helps
    Claws are great adition
    good nanos to buff self-
    all around wanted in groups as back up healing and good damage.
    Needs faster or a new line of heals ( recharge faster )

    Engy. great early on.
    Pets are good.
    nice nanos both self and other.
    becoming a bot rules.
    great tradeskills.
    Patching sucks == all pet classes ===

    Crat. mez. root. control, exp, pet. all sweet nanos
    the hardest thing about crats is finding how you want to play it
    crat suit is good,
    Psyche checks need to go

    Enforcer. Best buffing of stats for normal armor-- Str/stam
    Essance is stackable with both doc Hp buffs
    Essence is stackable with IC
    using 2 pillows to get armor on
    hard to use nanos


    THe help Funcom forgot us

    NT. Nulity 1 and 2 --- bane and bonus you have it great if not your dead -- drop rate stinks
    mezzes are few and far between
    all the self buffs seem for other classes-- effrems/absorb/HE/Cost reduction.. the later is the best
    No int/psy Buffs.
    Int/psy are in the same inplant spots
    lack of the best DD nuke. that is resonable to cast.


    Soldier..good weapon skills
    Mk shield
    the added 2nd gun helps but is still not enough
    Boring class


    Advent. Cool at 150+
    The lick wounds is cool
    Good buffs for 1 HE
    Pistols still need help
    Healing is ok, could be better
    Multi weild buffs stink if you want pistols used
    Pistol damage is a joke.



    the point here is to not nerf any class. It is to make them all semi equal. there has to be classes better then the others.

    Also passing out things other classes have is a bad fix. now you can't take it away, but there is things to learn for the future

    Some fixes i can think of

    Give Advents Multi weild and multi range self buffs that are 3x better then the line in place. use the existing line as buffing others

    Docs. Fix EP

    NT lots of help


    Every class can use some help, just some need it alot more then others. It is time as a community we come to that relization, that someone else might need it more then we..

    Well, the Engineer class is good for soloing from early to medium levels, yes.

    But for tons of reasons why the Engineers sorely need fixing, look up the Engineer forum. There are -way- too many than I can easily list here.

    It is true that Agents can get a 10K AS (and some like to boast about it), however the below is a recent test by an Agent (Morphex) for feedback via "The Professionals" group:

    1413 Concealment

    Aimed Shots:

    Average damage: 7991

    7% crit

    While the second test with high AS skill did produce many 10k AS a significant skill increase was required (plus all tests are with 7% crit mod multiplier)

    The last one is what most other professions using QL 200 ELLTS and Ithaca with 3 AS implants would have at least in AS skill.

    My point here is that every profession (at least those willing to sped creds/IP can get close or match the Agent output for AS ... so this can not be considered an "Agent only" skill that requires balancing.


    Every buff in the game. ( using ql 200 items at level 80)

    Many of the original isues with Agents using other profs (notably MP pets) before the "native" profession has been resolved by FC by either a) making them not avaliable to the Agent (as with higher level MP pets) or b) placing a level requirment on the new nanos.
    Agent can only cast nano's of another profession while in either:

    False Profession:
    Assume Profession:
    Mimic Profession:

    The only differences between these is the debuffs on skills and time the profession runs for, the areas effected are:

    Nano Cost Modifer
    Nano Init Debuff
    Nano Range Debuff
    Casting Interrupt Debuff
    HUGE debuff to nano skills (-25, -80, and -140)

    This means that False Profession is mainly used for buffing yourself and others. Because of the BIG hit to init, it's not feasible to cast anything during combat while in false prof. It has a low hit to nanoskills, which means you can cast all those good buffs on your team mates before going into the mission.

    Mimic profession has a big hit to nanoskills (it's big no matter what level you are), and therefore is not recommended for buffing purposes. But because of the (relatively) low hit to init, it is more useful for combat casting. Eg. mezzing, TMS, team-heals, etc.

    Assume prof is supposed to be some sort of middle ground. It has very little use though, because it has both quite a large hit to init and to skills. I only ever use it, for example, if I want to grid a team out of a mission. Mimic Fixer isnt on my list of to-get nanos, but with assume, I can grid the team out quite a bit faster than with FP. That's the only worthwhile use I have found for assume, and to be honest, if I didn't have it, I could do just as good a job with FP. In other words, assume is useless as it is today.

    All of them rely in the Agent plowing additional IP into skills in order to try and counterbalance the debuffs / mods, we do not get them at zero cost and are stuck in that profession until the nano wears off (so dont ask an agent for a Fixer Speed buff and them immediatly after anyother prof buff as we can not do both close together).

    about the agent 10 aimed shot, i have been around for a while. i know that the last time that agents were doing this they got a Funcom love patch nerfing AS..

    I don't think the 10k crit is a bad thing. I just think it is the bar currently.

    Just like the bar for MPs is set at casting all nanos self buffed at 125 ish-- might be off a few levels

    In no way am i saying Agents, traders. MPs don't need some fixes. or later patches. But at this time, the game in all aspects has it better for them from 1-200

    Indeed 10K is the "bar" as far as AS goes ( I may be wrong but I think this is the cap for AS damage).

    I do agree with you that Agents have recieved some love from FC in order to improve our situation (alongside several punishment sessions with the nerf bat) and I respect the fact that other classes may need good luuuuving from FC (and I bet it costs more than $10) before either my profession or other professions.

    I think the key (as you point out) is not to nurf those professions that have either reached a reasonable level of FC luving or are close to it, but to improve those professions that have been taken wruflyfrombehind and left alone like an unwanted toy (Engi's spring to mind at higher levels).

    Please remember that not all professions are ment to be uber at all skill/damage/nanos (although Agents are designed to be able to use some of the more useful profs nanos, but then again we were also designed to be *the* sniper (AS) profession) otherwise you would just have one profession/class.

    Who wants the classes to be the same. That is what i am against. I love my 119 Doc, but did Docs need a Grid line? What would have been cooler and better for a doc, is for the doc to be able to do a warp to a team member-- This would start at 2 minutes- next one 1 min - next one 30 seconds, and the last one 10 seconds. this would only let the doc goto the pacient. this would be a nano to make the doc a better heal profession.

    I think as a whole the gamers in AO are sick of seeing every class, mezz, root, calm, forget on mobs. to many abilities have been given to classes that we can't figure out why they have them.

    also weapons are unbalanced currently. The using the general nano to break roots is a common problem.

    Fucom spent alot of time so Tank armor would look the right color, but not on making it so that crat AoE roots worked.

    I think me and you are the only ones reading this line anymore :P.

    I am just triing to point out that some classes just plain need so much work, 2 patches would be needed.


    i was hoping that other classes would post and add stuff to this. I took alot from what of the forums i read..

    every class still has issues that need to be addressed, as well as gameplay issues that funcom needs to look at.

    Some things that effect every class, is the HP and Nanos being wrong in team windows. not sure if they can fix.

    Pistols don't equal anything. they have a super high multi weild and no bonus for using them.

    Shotguns need some more that are less crit dependant

    ect
