    Perit Bonnon Murdered!
    August 11, 29480 - [Global]

OTPC - On the weekend of July 22, a terrible crime was committed. Perit Bonnon was murdered on the streets of Borealis after escaping from a camp of thugs. Their name: The Dreadtrox.

It took this reporter a while to find the relevant data. Apparently the crime was so horrible that most witnesses went into hiding after the incident. From what I can gather, Mr. Bonnon escaped from an encampment of these thugs, where they were forcing him to administer a experimental drug designed to assist in removing stim addiction. He immediately contacted his wife, and asked her to meet him in Borealis.

I managed to track down one witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, that mentioned, "Perit showed up in a panic, and quickly explained to his wife what happened." The witness went on to say, "He mentioned that these thugs calling themselves the Dreadtrox Gang took him to a camp somewhere outside Borealis and that they forced him to help them."

The response to Bonnon's statements were that of hate and anger. One citizen by the name of Essenmich wanted to round up a group and hunt them down. "Let's kill them," he said.

A few minutes after Perit got his story out, a group of these Dreadtrox showed up and started taunting the man. "They spoke very poorly and taunted the scientist. Saying things like, where did you think you were going?"

"They seemed to quickly get bored with his resistance and they suddenly started beating him. At first they were doing it just to play around but their attacks became more violent." relayed the terrified witness.

After Bonnon died, "the group of thugs looked at his wife and taunted her to run away, which she did."

As far as I can tell Mrs. Bonnon escaped, but I have not been able to track her down for an interview. Reports are that Perit was too elderly for reclaim. It is assumed that his spirit is lost.

It would seem that the streets of Borealis are no safter that before Omni began its occupation if an old man can be beaten to death on the street.

Omni-Tek protects? Ask Perit Bonnon how well they lived up to that.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it is has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Ah, and did I miss the part where your 'peace loving and freedom defending' fighters, or whatever you rebels call yourself stepped in and assisted him?

What I would like to know is why this bloodthirsty crowd, after howling for blood, didn't do a thing.

It's all very well to ask us to leave Borealis in Neutral control. You may have the capability to defend yourself, weapons and so, but it doesn't look to me like you have the will or the intelligence to use them.

As it stands, as Omni-Pol Patrol Officer's are a little understaffed (since many of our officers begin to specialise, investigation, forensics etc), doing the decent thing and enlisting with Omni-Pol will help us keep crime to a minimum on the streets.

you know, for an old man, he wasn't very smart. If their camp is around borealis, you don't go to borealis : you go hide someplace like the hope outpost, or MMT. Then you send someone get your wife.

And yeah, if you ridiculous "protectors" would do your job, maybe things like this would not be happening. As it is, and we've been saying so for a long while, the occupation of borealis city is just a ploy to get closer to athen city.

You're about as useless to the neutrals as a Kang Tao Spitting Cobra is to a fixer. Get the heck off our city.

Mr. Clancy I have absolutely no desire to listen to a Trade Minister who has quite openly supported black market techniques. Why your appointment was made I have no idea, but it quite obviously shows just how smart the neutral community is when it comes to representing themselves.

Whereas, Omni-Admin is the, or one of the, most select areas of Omni-Tek. Indeed, only -InternOps and -Reform could be compared. As such, intelligence is high. I see many gridsite articles claiming our Bureaucrat's are 'stuck in boxes'. This is not true.

We must exist within law, and within order. As such, Omni-Admin (and indeed, administration for all walks of corporate life) has rules and guidelines that the policymakers must follow and adhear to. As such, Administrator Lonare is civilized, and smart, and therefore a good choice to adminisitrate Borealis.

Now, please find yourself a corporate sponsored school of economics before you bring your backward ideas to our attention. Trade, does not translate to thievery or to the art of con-men.

And yet you have enough men to pile into a cargo ship to bus around in the odd chance that it will be attacked over Clan territory.

We all know why Omni is in Borealis, spring board for futur operations into clan territories, not to quell lawlessnes or offer greater security or that rusty dish.

Well, this looks like a job for those ICC Peacekeepers in Borealis. They usually catch all our criminals.

Omni-Pol just says "Well, your safer now" without actually doing anything different...

But it's ok. Omni-Pol protects right? They did a fine job saving Perit Bonnon. Yep. Very fine. Lets give Stillian a medal.

Well, At least we try to pick out people that will actually show up at meetings, care about what's being done and said. Last I heard your new boss felt intimidated by the lack of people/serfs at his meetings.... hahahahahahah.

First and foremost, we don't need your "laws". We never requested your presence, and you're trying once against to propagandise an INVASION as something that was actually requested by the populace. Which of course is enhaced leet's droppings. Such as the claim Borealis was "Actually omnitek property when you think of it" being so deluded you would think they should look at what passes for coffee in omniland. The truth is, Borealis Has always been an independent neutral outpost run by tradesmen, smugglers and thieves. And nobody's ever had a problem with that, since it made the perfect NEUTRAL meeting ground for people to sit, talk trade and negociate.

That's why i constantly encourage people to be LOUD, Drunk/Drinking, slightly bleeding superfast runners if possible. We are not your serfs. We're much better off living amongs ourselves, and deal with our problems OUR WAY than obey people that think we are their subjects. At least we don't take orders or have anybody telling us how WE should live.

And second of all, the black market is a much more competitive and much more materialistic business ground, uninhibited by such things as rules, morals or anything ressembling fair play. People that survive and prosper the black market have much more business savvy than anything your brain melting, spirit crushing "schools" could ever teach anyone.

The street is a much better teacher than an holo recorder.

Mr. Clancy I was under the impression you were at least intelligent, just misguided. Revising this opinion, I'll leave you to club your meals to death.

Mr. Parsil, you are well aware of both the fact that I am not a patrol officer or even a patrol supervisor. You are well aware of my speciality within Omni-Pol, as we discussed it previously. If more people would stop being silly and rejecting the corporation, we'd have more assets on the streets and therefore keeping people safer.

The common argument is that Omni-Pol does not protect. Well, we're not monsters or in-human. We do protect, when we can. I'm well aware of, and admit, that foot patrols are lacking, however this does not mean we won't defend and respond. We will, where and whenever possible.

In your delusions of grandeur, sir, you seem to forget a single, little, detail.

Rubi-Ka is currently, and for the next fifty or so more years, under direct Omni-Tek control. While you may build your latrine, and it is yours, while it stands on -our- planet, it becomes ours.

Rave all you want, you cannot change the truth. Unless you're on the CoT, then you can pretend that the truth is whatever you want it to be, and completely ignore reality.

    Omni-Tek Succeeds.
    Omni-Reform Teaches.

Disclaimer: My view of the CoT is only shared by about 98% of Omni-Tek employees, but is not company policy. Therefore Omni-Tek does not take responsability for my personal views. But I will.
