Mysterious kidnappings
Six researchers were simultaneously kidnapped from their homes on Sunday evening. Lanne, Pencereder, Livedilos, Thellum, Rosee and Aphrodyte were all well known for their work in the field of notum biology, and all were scheduled to speak at the upcoming "Seminar on Notum Depletion in Higher Mammals" next month.

In each case, the scientists were siezed by groups of unarmed persons and dragged to the nearest grid terminal.

Lahronil described the attack on her husband. "We were having dinner, and suddenly our apartment door was blown in! Those horrible men were everywhere! They ran in before we could even stand up, one of them 'rooted' me, and then they took Thellum!"

Marwinn of High Rise 3, Omni-Trade District, upon witnessing the abduction of Pencereder, attempted to intervene and was immediately sent to reclaim by destructive "nuke" nano-programs. Other witnesses, attempting to follow the attackers into the grid, were briefly stymied by terminal malfunctions.

Nesley, of Living Quarters 7, West Athen, described the attackers as "all black, like they had black cloaks, gloves, masks, everything", and that several attackers had glowing auras around their hands.

Omni-Pol Sergeant Chaupin, when asked for details, said, "We can't conclude that these abductions are related yet; it's probably just chance. There is some sort of 'reign of terror' beginning. Law-abiding citizens have nothing to worry about; Omni-Tek protects! Any citizens with information about these events should come forward and describe what they have seen."

Will these scientist ever be found or are they forever gone missing? Only when the abductors tell us what their terms are will we know.

I would not worry. Life scientist have always been a bit flaky. If you are looking for reliabilty, stick to physicists and mathematicians.

Physicists are relatively reliable, but you can definitely count on mathematicians.

My guess is that these scientists were probably tinkering with their ducts which is highly illegal without proper licensing. One should always fill out form 27B-stroke-6 and submit it to the proper administration if duct work needs to be performed so that trained and qualified technicians can do the work.

I find it a bit troubling that you two can sit there and be so calm about so many people being kidnapped from their homes. One of the victims, Rosee, is from Aethyr Knights and the sounds coming over her com before it cut out.... They were torturing her.

Admittedly, the Omni and Neutrals disappearing is a bit troubling, but if you think you're going to get any sympathy over the Clanners, particularly the one who sounded like she was being tortured, you're barking up the wrong tree, bub.

What ever they are doing to Rosee, from what we over heard on her com, they are doing to everyone they have kidnapped.

Monday aphrodyte broke in our organisation channel to ask for help. I'm looking for any information about the location of the captives, the ones keeping them, or anything that would help me get them back home.

The only information I have about the abductor is cloaked, speaking slowly in a metalic voice, and "We give (gave?) you chances".
It's assumed that she have no more communicator, and that insurance won't work in case of death.

To the ones behind that: If I don't see Aphrodyte back in good health, you won't find any secure place to prevent me from hunting you.

To be honest never meet any of the others. But Lanne was a hard working, young Agent trying to make a solid living for herself in the hardships which is Borealis at the moment under Omni rule. And to have her kidnapped like this is just utterly disgraceful and something which is being investigated fully and....ah sod it, going to knock somebodies bloody heads together when I get my mitts on them. Shes one of ours, and we protect our own.

Maybe, but I don't like people under my protection going "missing". It just annoys the hell outta me. And yes, I maybe all fluffy and peaceful according to many, but underneath I am still what I am no matter how hard I try and get away from it. I am a weapon, and its that simple. I might not like it, but sometimes, possibly like this that might actually end up being what breaks out. No matter if I like it or not.

As for picking my wording...well hmm yeah, I always tend to pick words usually for a reason. As for "mitt" I refer to my very sharp, and very pointy finger o' doom on my glove. It's got a few other uses other than as a data spike and as a /flip extention
