Spawn your own monsters

Instead of using towers to control camps, can't we just get one type of tower to spawn monsters for us? Those Service Towers just sound usless except for controlling an entire camp, which would get in everyone elses way.
So, why can't a tower type just spawn xp-only monsters (no loot), and have the other towers not attack the spawned creatures?

It would be nice if a guard tower could be made that spawned guards to patrol the area. (maybe a tower crats could create)
