If they are simply trapped in there I could warp them out or any enterprising fixer could jaunt over and dump them all into the grid so they could make their own way home.

You are welocme to try this. So far most standard evac methods have failed and I am not entirely sure myself why. I don't know if it's some counter measure the Unionists have put in place to prevent warps working. but it's just not working!

Anyways... why not ask some clan doctors, fixers, nanotechnicians to team up with these hostages and send them into the grid and send them on their merry way? Sounds resonable, and if not clan then neutral.

EDIT: just read the post about meeping not working. If it's nanotechs having problems, that's easy - everyone has to be the same side for it to work. Fixers, on the other hand... I cannot see why. 4 Holes is 4 Holes - nothing anti-meep about it.

EDIT: or ask the OT employees to give up a perk for Cartogropher and have them meep themselves out with the first perk special.

You know, it's been brought to my attention that the Ommers still in four holes are staying out of protest. The unionists allowed safe passage to non-combatants, and yet they refused to leave....

This also explains why some many of the ones I keep killin' are starting to look alike... the iddjets keep comeing back to 4 holes out of protest!

There are number of Omni civiliants trapped by the Clan invaders in 4 Holes in the various shops scattered around the region. These men and women need food, water, pr0n, blankets and oter essentials as they cannot leave their shops. More importantly, they need to know that we have not forgotten them or abandoned them.

I'll be collecting supplies at Omni Ent platform from 18:30 today and looking for brave fixers able to get past the Clan guards and reach our people.

At the CoT Emergency Meeting this past Saturday Aideen Landau, Leader of The Unionists Clan mentioned the omni employees in 4 holes:

So they HAD and still HAVE the choice to leave peacefully and unharmed to omni territory and let their armed forces try and recaptured the liberated town of 4 Holes.

How can you call them 'hostages' if they ARE free to leave without risk of injury?

I see this as another propaganda campaign to try and save face for losing 4 Holes.

If they choose to stay there, maybe it could be because they agree with the clan cause....but perhaps they fear the corporation's retaliation against their families and friends still in OT territory...I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Go cry your fake monitor tears elsewhere. There are no hostages.

Forgive my skepticism. Hypothetically, let's reverse the situation. Let's say OT had taken over Rising Sun or some other smaller Clan town and let's say Clan civilians had been caugh behind the enemy lines. Would you take Omni-Pol's word that any Clanner left behind was their of their own free will?

We have Kotts confesion that he's been killing civillians in 4 Holes. I also have an independent verification that the Miir Specialist in 4 Holes was found dead. So I think I will stick to my story until I hear different from the people of 4 Holes themselves.

Actually the Unionists have declared that the Omni merchants that remain can do, not as a threat but as a gesture of good will, they were offered transport out and after refusing this they are being allowed to remain there so long as they do not attack Unionist troops.

Granted we have a few who are not living up to the Unionists desicions....

If that is the case, I suggest you go out an help them rather come and complain to me.

Look, this is not another "see how bad the clans are post". This is simply about getting relief to Omni citizens trapped in occupied territory. Whether Four Holes should have been occupied in the first place, whether the people trapped there somehow deserved their fate or even whether there are other people around Rubi-Ka needing help is entirely irrelevant to this discussion.

Now if you want to help the people of Four Holes, fine, I'll come collect any supplies you can spare. If you just want to bitch about Omni-Tek, there are plenty of other threads on which you post on.

Any and all non-combatant Omni citizens who wished to leave have left. Those left behind have stayed because they desire to do so not because they are in any way held hostage. We have no use for hostages. Omni-Tel and Omni-Pol and the armed forces of Omni-Tek do not recognise being held hostage as a condition that limits their capacity to use armed force. The Clans have no desire to cause discomfort or unnessary deaths to any Innocent Omni-Tek or otherwise.

As for initiatives to supply Omni citizens with supplies please note that we can set up a program to provide collected materials to those who require it. Supplies should be limited to food, medical and clothing. Other materials will need to be confiscated due to security concerns. Attempts to smuggle goods will be treated as hostile attacks upon Clan Sovernty. However note that the Clans already have humanitarian aid going to those that require it and efforts by Omni-Tek are as usual wasteful and redundant.
