Saw someone spamming these (links to) "hacks" in OOC yesterday.
Kinda sad really that so many people felt the need to get these "hacks" that it became a security issue over compromised accounts.
Ironic yes, but in my opinion those people who've lost due to this, should not be reimbursed. You want to hack and cheat you should be banned not to mention lose some stuff.

I noticed that yesterday as well, oddly enough... the same guy spamming the hack was the same guy wanting to buy my alien armour.
I had a feeling it was a phishing scam.

Getting punished for hacking and exploiting in this game is very hard. Even when someone is petitioned for obvious exploiting, odds of them getting punished is slim.
You can exploit leveling, you can exploit stats and anything you can get your hands on. None of that will prevent you from enjoying an endgame where you have all the odds in your favor because getting punished for it is extremely rare.
So when 2% of the exploiters are punished and you yourself play without exploits, the funfactor is sucked dry and dies. The problem is that there's not really anyone I can complain to because when I complain to FC, the exploiters are still doing it a week later and they get to hang on to everything they have gained unfairly (98% of the time). If I complain with any amount of detail on forum then the post will (correctly) be removed by moderator.
So.. what to do then?
If I was a GM and I wanted to ban people for exploiting (which any GM should want to do..) then I could log in right now and find 5-10 people clearly exploiting and remove them, within 2 minutes. People that play this game know where to look for such things and how to spot them. I have spotted them and I have explained to FC how to spot them. Is the exploiting still going on though? Yep. Any sign of anything being done about it? Not yet at least.

Meh no warnings should be given, let them be ****'d by the program. They deserve it anyway :P
what's worse is when the person handling your petition has no clue about the exploits, and tells a tl5 that "maybe the reason he can't be blinded is because he has more blind resist" Oo
