Part two in a series - Zephrem "Toog" King

IRRK - As most residents of Newland are aware, elections for the new city council are to be held soon. This is the second in a series of interviews bringing the candidates running for Mayor to the people.

This week it is my pleasure to introduce Mr. Zephrem King. "Toog", as he prefers to be called, has been a resident of Newland City for over 20 years. It is his vision to make Newland City a bustling area of commerce, trade and a safe haven for all who enter the city gates.

To achieve this, he wants to reopen a small Notum mine just outside the city near the lake to increase industry and provide local jobs. He wants to lower taxes in the entertainment area, specifically the outdoor café and Neuters to draw more customers to the area. To spark tourism, "Toog" went on at length on his plans to clean up and reclaim the Backyards which he feels have fallen into a state of disrepair.

Mr. King was very focused in his plans for the "new" Newland City. He believes "the political situation of the neutrals and Newland City needs a better and clearer definition." He envisions the city as a "magnificent glittering pearl, not only of the north of Rubi-Ka, but of the galaxy. " He wants to work toward making Newland a city of peace. "A place to live, and trade. Newland will be the place where even the fiercest of enemies can meet in peace to find a solution to their problems."

"Toog" expressed his desire to get started right away to set his plans in motion. "Once the elections are over, and the council picked, we will begin implementing the changes needed to make Newland City a place where all of Rubi-Ka will want to come to live, do business and play." He asks for the support of the people in the upcoming elections and promised an open door policy to his constituents.
