Rollarrat Ball Week 2 results

ROLLERRATBALL League!
Briefcase of R.U.R's Rollerratball league is where two opposing contestants of differing team size attempt to get a live rollerrat to their side of the Borialis Radar Dish alive and unharmed. The Rollerratball matches are held every Saturday at 00:30 GMT (Friday 8:30pmEST).

It was another exciting night at the Borialis Radar Dish in the third week of the Rollerratball League!

The first match we witnessed R.U.R. Radio's DJ Davalos matched up against the Crazy Canucks' very own Gridlinx. It went all the way down to the wire when DJ Davalos took the early lead in the first and second round while Gridlinx was still fumbling with her roots and snares. At one point late in the second round she even got flustered and rooted herself and had to call a time out! But, the fixer found her composier and made a comback in the 3rds and 4th rounds leading into the fith and final match point round. It was surprising how Gridlinx attacked the rollerratball with out killing it and made short work of the fith round and took the match. DJ Davalos some were saying was more concerned with his boombox and wasn't keeping his mind on the match.

After a short 15 minute break inbetween the first and the champion challange match up we were not sure weather reports where true that last weeks champion Oshee of Devil`s Advocate was really lost in the Shadow Lands or his left casting hand was injured. But as the time came to begin the champion challange match, Oshee arrived in grand fashion to take on the challanger Gridlinx from the first match.

When the match got started, we saw exactly why Oshee won last week! After falling quickly in the first two rounds to Gridlinx, Oshee took control of the last three rounds.

The 5th round had some controversy that will make the referees re-look at the rule books after an unpresidented manuver Oshee used during the last round.

Gridlinx was looking to make a come back after loosing the third and fourth round tieing the match. But out of desperation, excitement or sheer genious, Oshee did what no one expected and instead of rooting the rollerratball, he rooted the challanger Gridlinx and grabbed the agro from the rollerratball while leaving Gridlinx confounded and stuck. Giving Oshee a second week and another championship match game.

Congratulations go out to Oshee for retaining his Championship title and walking away with a cool two million in credits.

Special thanks to Gridlinx for participating and for her effort she walked away with a nice compensation of one million credits.

Re-post of week 2's match


In what has been called the match to end all matches we witnessed Gainer of R.U.R.'s Mail room department try to defend her last week's title as champion against Sightsee99 of R.U.R.'s Security department. While Gainer gave a good fight, the little agent mail clerk just could not get past Sightsee99's ability to keep the rollerrat attention on himself.

In a seven round match, Gainer took the early lead, but was quickly countered by Sightee99 in rounds 2-4. In round five, we saw what happens when someone doesn't have their safty on their gun and Sightsee99 shot the ball and thus gave up his lead and giving Gainer the point and making it a tied game.

However, Sightsee99 gained back his control of his gun and the game and surpassed his setback and took rounds six and seven thus snatching the first match away from Gainer and her title.

In the second match of the night we had Sightsee99 being challanged by none other than Devil`s Advocate's Oshee. With a few slight distractions from the on lookers when one of them followed in Sightsee99's control of their gun and shot the game ball. Yet, with the brilliance of Meryl "Briefcase" R.U.R.'s leagal expert, quickly pulled out the substitute ball. While the new ball wasn't really a rollerrat ball, it still worked as expected and the second match of the night commenced.

In a 5 round match Oshee clearly showed how the game was to be played. He masterfully handled the claw ball to a shut out against Sightsee99. With a score of 3 points to 0 Oshee went on to hold the Rollerrat ball Champion title with a pay out of 1,000,000 credits to his pocket.

We would like to thank R.U.R. Radio for the commentry and Briefcase for setting up this new and exciting league.

Next weeks matchs will be held as usual at the Borialis Radar Dish. Matches start at 24:30 GMT.

Week 4 and Week 5 of RollerRatBall Leauge!

Week 4:

It was an exciting event this week as we watched another round of RollerRatBall night hosted by RURradio's Rettaman with Briefcase of Rubi-ka's Universal Robotics company as the referee.

The first round we watched was not a very exciting match with the return of Veneomscrier from rehab go up against RURradio's DJ Davalos. As it was plan to see, Venomscrier was not up to par for the match by constantly killing the rollerrat. The first and second round quickly went to Davalos giving him a 2-0 lead.

The third round, it seemed that Venomscrier got a handle on the match and surprisingly took control of the rollerrat bringing the game to a 2-1 setting with Davalos still in the lead. However round four proved to much for Venom to handle and has it appeared that he was going to recover he smashed the ball yet again giving Davalos the match point and the ability to go on to the next round.

In the second match we were able to watch Brighter of RUR try to recover what Venomscrier lost.

The first round went rather quickly as when the shout for go went unheard by Davaols, Brighter used the advantage and took the lead in the second match. However, using the skills of the BOOMBOX, Davaols quickly regained his composure and in the second match easily recaptured the attention of the rollerrat and quickly scored making the game 1-1.

The third round was a hard fought round, both contestents battled for agro of the rollerrat, back and forth the rat turned its attention and for a while it seemed neither contestent could gain ground. Davalos we come to see after watching the re-plays looked to have timmed his famous /moon manuver which easily angered the rollerrat causing it to totally loose interest in Brighter and easily followed Davalos up the side of the Borialis Radar Dish to another score leaving the 3 round 2-1 in Davalos's favor.

The fourth round woud have been match point for Davalos, but Brighter didn't waste any time and quickly and skillfuly drew the attention of the rollerrat with a miryad of agro nano programs. Quickly drawing the rollerrat up her side of the dish bringing the match again to a 2-2 tie leaving the crowd that was watching on their toes wondering if Brighter was going to be able to pull out an upset.

Round five was another great fought round with both contestents using all their plays in the playbook attempting to get the rollerrat's attention. Brighter seemed to have gained control of the rat only to loose it's attention to Davalos in a seemingly last effort which worked. Brighter, as she rushed up Davalos' side of the Borialis Radar Dish in haste trying to keep the ratball from going up the edge poked it a wee bit too hard and killed the ball. Giving Davalos the match and the chance to go up against our current Champion of Rollerratball, Oshee of Devil`s Advocate!

In the championship match, we wittnessed why Oshee is the Champion. In a 3-0 routing, he easily managed the agro of the rollerrat ball quickly and desicively and sent Davalos back to his BoomBox.

Upon again gaining the champion status of the RollerRatBall Leauge, Oshee made a surprising announcement, that with this last match he would be hanging up his agro nanos, and retire from the league, undefeated!

We congratulate all of the players of this week's match and to Oshee our standing Champion of RollerRatBall!
