Introducing the Candidates
Part one in a series - Dante Karall

IRRK - The most colorful candidate running for the Mayor of the Newland City Council by far, is Dante Karall. A long time resident of Newland City, Dante is more a common man’s candidate.

He is not much on titles or rank and his openness and friendliness are evident from his first words. His care-free attitude and animated speech can be a bit hard to over look at times, and can obscure the message he carries regarding his position on the various issues facing Newland today.

Mr Karall is a candidate for the people. He believes that one person can not make the changes that are needed to be made. He sees the mayors position as “the person who gets it all started.” His vision for Newland is to “clean the place up and stuff and you know open trade.”

While this seems simplistic, when asked how he specifically planned to achieve theses goals, he responded with “get a bunch of dudes together, get a bunch of bags...and clean the place up...”. As for opening trade, he stated that whatever was done for Neutral citizens, must be offered to both Clansmen and Omni. He sees the entertainment industry as the main source of income for Newland with its world famous Neuters Bar and the open cafes.

Mr. Karall’s position in the Omni-Clan conflict was actually very straight to the point. He stated, “We’re Neutrals- this ain’t our fight. If people want to join to fight, it’s cool, but I won’t have it here (in Newland). I don’t care who they are, they get tossed out on their ...butts....if they bring it here.”

Dante Karall is, if nothing else a very likeable man who enjoys his friends in a social setting. He has invited all citizens regardless of faction to join him in sharing a “brew” on Friday nights at Neuters for some “serious partying”.

The Newland City council elections will be held later this month.
