Are you allowed to have omni and clan characters on the same account and dimension?

My wife and I have 2 clan characters each (I have a lvl71 soldier and level 45 NT, she has a level 61 fixer nad level 40 adventurer).

For a little variety, we were hoping to make some Omni characters to play as well (probably a fixer and doctor).

Is this allowed? Are there any restrictions?

Can we have characters on both sides and advance normally, with no restrictions, penalties, etc?

Sorry. I meant yes, it is allowed. There are no penalties of any sort.

By having chars on both sides has one definite drawback.
The mysticism is gone. The moment you think "hey, there are good things about both sides" or "hmm... playing x is just as fun as y" you have actually lost. What you have lost? A little piece of the struggle (if any). A little piece of the "feel" you got.

I remember the first time I ever saw a clanner. I was scared. I was petrified. He was the enemy. He was an icon of the difference between omni and clan.

Sure, you may easily have chars on both sides. No problem. But be prepared to loose some of the things that makes a part of the AO setting (for me anyway).

All my chars are proud omni. That wil never change.

Clan/Omni means nothing its just an excuse for people to gank you NOTHING more.

Aye, but like others pointed out, it seems to take something out of the game...I felt guilty when I started an omni and promptly deleted him. I started an omni on the other server, but I just don't care for her.... she will probably spend a lot of time gridding to Athen so she can get what she deserves.

when i first saw a omni character i was oh nooo we have to rally and kill him

then when i started to get higher teaming with a omni well that was complete taboo

now i just damn you omni scum i must team with you and screw up my whole tab process and now i must actually click cause you you damn you !!!
