Clan Phalanx is devoted to the complete and utter destruction of Omni-Tek. The government of Rubi-Ka currently exists in a state of division where the masses are oppressed, the planet is raped, and the elite few reap the rewards of this enslavement and exploitation.
This goal can only be attained if the rebels are able to match Omni-Tek's strength: wealth. The accumulation of wealth (in the forms of liquid wealth as well as property) is vital to any chance the rebellion has of succeeding.
The secondary goal of Phalanx is to work to unite the clans in their efforts against Omni-Tek. This shall be done by providing an example of a unified force that demonstrates how successful the clans can be when its members are working in concert. Additionally, Phalanx will work to use its wealth, strength, and political influence to bring the rebel clans together.

OOC Mission: The OOC mission of Phalanx is to bring role play dedicated Anarchy Online gamers together to collectively enhance their enjoyment of the game.
While Phalanx is a role play oriented clan, it is not a die hard, 100% RP oriented organization. It is our belief that in a game like AO, you would be miserable if you tried to stay in character at all times. There are far too many players that are not role playing, and far too many complicated aspects of gameplay that make OOC communication a frequent necessity.
Phalanx seeks to stimulate RP through character development, RP events, and frequent "spur of the moment" or impromptu role playing between members and non-members. We also hope to interest other AO players in role playing by providing an entertaining and interesting example of how much fun role playing can be.
Organizational Structure: While Phalanx will not be as rigid an organization as many of the purely militant AO clans, a hierarchy in Phalanx will be observed and will be vital to the IC theme of the clan. In any group of individuals, conflicts arise and solutions need to be reached. That is when good leadership must really take hold. Further, for the sake of RP, a hierarchy will be very helpful in designing RP events, planning and coordinating assaults on Omni-Tek outposts and installments, strategic initiatives, etc. Anarchy Online is a violent world, and Phalanx is devoted to the annihilation of Omni-Tek. Thus, leadership and a chain of command will often be important to guild activities.
Most importantly, the goal of Phalanx is to have fun. It is not a competitive forum for people to grand stand or to prove their "superior RP ability" to others (IC grand standing is, of course, a completely separate matter). We work together to create interesting stories and situations that involve and interest as many members as possible. Role playing is best when it is a group effort.
AO is far more enjoyable when you have fun people to chat with, RP with, and explore the lands with. Phalanx seeks to provide all of these things to its members.
