    a different approach to omni/clan only items

    it would be what i call contraband items

    Basically it would change the equip requirments on a bunch of items

    items would be divided int 2 types of contraban per a side

    Basically
    step 1 is illegal
    step 2 is outlawed

    Now for the big part of it

    Basically if your wearing illegal items (clan wearing omni armor etc) you loose access to all clan shops save terminals etc. And they refuse to deal with you if your wearing the items

    For outlawed items it is much worse. You have the top along with being KOS to the guards of that faction AND having your token count on the side that outlaws that item set to zero.

    You could still wear the items but you would have consequences

    For instance omni wearing khealar sleeves could wear em but they would never be welcome in omni territory or wear their token board as long as they possess the item

    They could even go so far as to make items that make you kos or non kos to certain npc races (such as rhinoman (professor jones vest etc))

    cool idea, i'm not sure how possible it would be to implement without alot of coding though

    You took Kaehler sleeves as example, I give you another. Omni-Med suit should be Omni-Tek only and it should be 100% OE the moment clanner wears it, ie giving no bonuses to treatment whatsoever...

    here is the thing. For npcs aggroing they have the ability to make them aggro for factors other than side (as seen by medusas aggroing males). All they would have to do is make the items set flags and have the npc's check for those flags as other means of being aggressive

    As for the terminals im sure it could be done. Terminals can check for multiple things such as profession (ie trader terminals) level etc. So that wouldn't be hard. The only other coding that might need to be done is for the insurance terminals and npc terminals (you know the humanoids). I believe the humanoids are currently limited in their ability to filter out things other than side (remember the ot buff specialist or whatever was removed because it was essentially a trader shop without the trader requirement)


    and Zarch either post constructively or dont post at all. Im trying to come up with things that would ALLOW omni's to equip stuff like khealar sleeves with realistic penalties (without them going against the grain and turning clan). The only thing i could see keeping an actual side requirement would be the token boards.

    Im trying to add an extra element to this game. All you are doing is showing your jealously and it makes you childish. And trust me you cannot beat me in a flame game of this nature. I could easily point out that all neutrals and clan would complain thus funcom would loose half their subscribers doing your "action" if you noticed i did not "take" anything from omni with this suggestion. Rather i gave them access to items that they cant normally wear.

    If you want other examples why can omni wear steel ribbed. I mean unless they like wearing the clan logo on their heads.

    So in essence post constructively or dont post at all
