    In pvp we suck also. Only reason why we get titles:
    Mass pvp and 3 reasons:
    Fling
    Burst
    Full auto (and the kill steal is complete = points for the soldier).

    That's 2 ways we suck and 1 way we are good. So you can say we 2/3 suck.

    I 100% agree we should have better offence. I struggle to get a 900 attack rateing when my adv friend using a pure pistol has well over 1k.

    We should most definatly have some kind of self-only buff that either a. raises our attack rateing 150+ points b. raises our min damage to 50-100 AND raises attack rateing 50+ points or c. raises our min damage to 150+

    I have yet to get a title....

    I see one problem doing that.. And that is that soldiers from RK1 - 3 won't be able to make the same visible appearance.

    However, we could go to Newland, Tir and Trade this weekend (we're uber so we can just kill the non striking guards when shot at) and cry out that we want some answers.

    The only thing tho, is that people will look upon us soldiers as rather childish. But hey I'm up to being a little childish so how does this Saturday at 20.00GMT sound ? (it would be 22.00 for norwegians). Joined strike on all the servers, would be a fun event even tho nothing comes out of it

    The main problem with Soldiers right now is that there is nothing for us to work for after we get to about 160 or so. I can use whatever gun I want, whatever armor, cast all the nanos (not selfbuffed of course, but I can cast them), but there is nothing to build up to. An MP can keep leveling and get on a 200 Nova or CHS or Flashpoint and still have his pets as well. By around 190 any other class can use the same weapons and do the same damage as us, as well as use their own abilities. How can I beat a Doc that can do the same damage as me, plus easily heal all the damage I do to him?

    A list of my ideas:

    -Remove the self-imposed Nano Shutdown from the TMS and replace it with a recharge time, like on the Agent crit nanos, or the Adventurer frenzy nanos

    -Speaking of which, maybe soldiers can get a short term +damage nano of some kind, call it "Reckless Assault" or some crap, make it lower AC's by 1000, they do nothing anyways.

    -Give us something to work for, for the love of Pete. About the only thing I can get out of leveling my Soldier now is to say "Look, I'm this level! Woohoo!" I got nothing new to do from level 160-200, and no real reason to take the time to do it.

    -Make a new +% Attack Rating buff, make it self only, make it a level 175 requirement, but just make it! I'm tired of having a lower attack rating than any Agent, Fixer, Adventurer, MA, etc. I feel like a chump when I'm supposed to be the tank and an Adventurer 20 levels lower than I am keeps pulling agg off of me.

    -New weapons, Soldier only. Some cool looking stuff, too. And make it BIG. I love the CHS, but it looks like a damn Super Soaker. I want to look like I'm going to kill someone, not get them damp.

    -And DEFINITELY fix the TMS nano so that I don't have to go hunting for my shield in the NCU display in a frenzied rush whenever I get into some serious business.

    -Since we have no reliable healing available to us of any kind, it would be nice to have a getaway nano for when the new and improved mission lag pulls 2 or 3 adds because you're actually 3 rooms away from where the client says you are. Something that does a 3 second stun to all enemies in an area would be perfect. I would really love to be able to solo again. Or maybe a nano that cuts our First Aid recharge by 50% for 3 minutes, then locks the First Aid skill for 5 or something, so we can actually live through 2 mobs at once occasionally.

    These are all the ideas I have time to write down, as I am super tired right now. To conclude, give Soldiers something to work towards, or just give me a Grid Armor MK 3 so I can play my Fixer again. : P

    Well, we have gotten a reply on this. Both nano shutdown and recharge are there to stay.

    Reason why we have nanoshutdown... well imagine having the abiliity to recast mk X. With enough nanopool, hood, nanocost reduction, you could go around and cast mk X all the time. (Cast MKX, sit down recharge, when MK X wears out, repeat... nobody would catch you off guard.

    I agree however having a timer would be a nice solution, but I bet FC don't want us to use our uber heals while MK'd. If they could add 1:20 timer on the nanoshutdown and rather have a timer of 2 minutes until we can use it again, it would be nice. Anyway I'll put your ideas on the wishlist

    Agreed. 2 minute timer, "hostile" nano program. 5 sec. recharge.

    Well.. they use pure requirement weapons.

    Agent: Rifle (This is my profession, sadly.)
    Fixer: SMG
    Adv: Pistol - 1HE

    Soldier? Assault Rifle/Ranged Energy.

    What you NEED is pure assault rifle weapons. D'UH! Do you need
    a high end buff? YES! But anything on top of that would be
    excess, seriously. What you need is a good +75 buff for the
    lv85-110 game, a +125 for the 110-150, and a +170 for 150+.

    I'd say that'd be damn good. Make them Soldier only, but not self.

    Now THAT, we all want. Variety is what keeps up playing, and
    every profession needs something to themselves. Can you
    say, new soldier only, pure assault-rifle gun?

    Such as:

    Morthotech BIG ASS GUN!

    Ql200:

    Requirements:

    Assault Rifle: 970 (You'd be getting off light here.)
    Fling: 575
    Burst: 625
    Full Auto: 720

    Damage:
    40-430(500)

    ATK: 3.25
    RECH: 1.50

    Now, some may say this weapon design is bad. But look at what
    you're getting. With it being pure AR, and getting higher end
    AR buffs, (Soldier only) your ATK rating will be massive.

    But, but.. mortho... only 500 crit? Well, face it, soldier friends, you
    will not see an over 500 crit (NEW) gun, in game. Simple.

    Good SPEED for a *3 special* gun. Better regular damage, and it's
    more suited for a PvP/PvM combo than most any soldier gun. The
    idea behind it is good based damage, moderate speed, with
    quickly recyling special attacks. High ATK rating. Soldier ONLY.

    (And the new AR buffs should also buff a lil' FA.)

    I'll second that. If they nerf the DMG is taken off of TMS, then not
    only should they make it stack, but add a new, improved line.

    Muwahaha, my idea!? Fixers have Cluster Burst, right? Soldiers
    need a grenade special, that works as an AOE stun!! Can only
    be used once every 2.5 minutes, and lasts only 5 seconds.

    Fair lock-out time, damn good duration, really. If it recycled too
    fast, it'd be too unbalancing. Just imagine soldier blitzers TMSing,
    and then running into a mission stunning enemies. =)p

    2.5 minutes would be fair, IMO.. good item.

    Good work. Aside from that, FC needs to fix your taunt line.
    As for additional content? Hmm, let's see what I can come up with:

    (We already have the idea that pure-AR is a good idea for guns.)

    How about a reflect piece for soldiers? 3% for the highest QL.

    modify self (Place *1* vital secondary skill here.)

    I say give it an Omni-Pol Elite model. Perhaps forrest green with
    a black line down the middle. The whole line will be green, but
    not kermit green, forrest green, with black accents, for a semi-
    camo look to it. Total modifers involved with this line:

    +3 reflect all damage types.
    +20 burst
    +25 FA
    +25 Flingshot

    --Now to establish those who say you need roots--

    Nope. Your a combat class, and you have the strength of a tank.
    Some would say you don't.. maybe not, but you will, if the above
    is done. Tanks don't get roots. You have good HP, fair evades,
    awesome defense, and soon to be improved offense.

    You don't NEED roots.

    As far as range being nerfed, it nerfed everyone. Especially those
    who are agents. I don't take kindly to having equal range to an
    assault rifle user, when I'm a sniper. It sucks, but it's life.

    And how about special missions from roaming omni-tek/clan
    military people, for you guys? That'd be kind of cool..

    Anyway, I'm no dev, but that sound good to you?

    (-Now all we have to worry about is traders. Last night, I saw a
    trader dual wield a defender, and I think a lower QL one. He
    critted for almost 4k with one, and 2k for the other!!! His regular
    damage was better than mine, with a QL179 x-3. (lv108).

    (Same lv as me.)

    Man, they need to shut up about heal nerfs. They're rooters,
    calmers, drainers, and are expremely viable. They do need a
    good shotgun buff, (Not too high), and more profession content.-)
