    yup

    Yeah I agree with you guys, theres some serious flaws in the Agent part of the professions. For example, take a look on Auno at each professions nanos and count up how many SL nanos they have. then go to Agent.

    (and one thing that kind of gets me annoyed..... what do you think of when you think of a assassin? a Lone guy sneaking to someone and killing them or horribly wounding them in one shot and killing them off in the next? Poisioning or leaving them unable to move due to horible poisons? ..... Or someone who runs around with 5 other people and storms the fortress head on?)

    Remove the sneak component from AS and Agent would be "at last" a playable and "fun" profession in Shadow levels.

    We'd be at last the ranged DDs we're supposed to be.

    Even without the evades and the other great stuff Militaryman wrote, it'd be a really good start.

    We already have 100 hot buttons, but maybe they could add the - key and the = key as hot buttons, giving us a total of 120

    Exclamation A concept

    People were complaining about the aimedshot which i think is fine on a few aspects. Aimedshot and Sneak attack both i belive are capped at 13k. Unlike Full Auto that fires an entire clip unlike 1 bullet from Aimedshot. My idea is this, I like the idea of hiding from the enemy to pull off a high end aimedshot (13k) But not being able to fire Aimed shot multiple times PVM really delays its usefullness. If they made Aimedshot 2phase attack it may help (and not unbalance pvp) If you made aimed shot into a hidden attack and a standing attack. Say you started out hiding pulled off an aimedshot and hit the 13k. (we all know its very difficult to pull off 2 aimedshots on the same monster) If they added a normal attack aimedshot and calculated or capped it diffrently that you still could use it again would be an improvement. And it would not mess up pvp since it would be pvm only. But to pull off a "hidden" aimed shot again they could implment the usefullness of a cloaking device (one of my favorite rping items!!!!) Since it makes you unable to attack but would allow you to "fade from visabilty"(awareness) that you could unequip it (or hide with it then unequip it) then fire a "hidden" aimedshot. Not only it would add more usefullness to useless items it would help out everyone pvm and would uneffect pvp.

    Also Agents should be a main damage dealer along with shade. Maybe a passive bonus to agents when teamed with shades or some kind of bonus to damage or anything to improve damage when teamed with other damage dealers.

    I do agree with the agent roots and such. I dont even bother using them.

    I think that all the proffessionals should get together and make a list and put them in order of priority and give them to fc. My opinion is that fc should either before or after Lost Eden revamp the system. Just rebalance everything.

    -edit- The idea about the cloaking device. When you use the cloaking device it and attack something it brings up the attack speed bar thing. Insted of that make a bar of how aware the target that you selected and initiated an attack on. when the bar is empty then you can uncloak/hide uncloak and aim shot. Just an idea that i thought would be really cool if implmented and would give all agents a new toy to play with!

    I don't know how u guys can say such things... i mean aren't the agents good enoungh in both pvm and pvp, they do huge dmg !

    after so many suggestions ...

    only thing i see is.. sneak bug is fixed...

    other than that... nothing..


    WTB reusable AS ( or maybe something like Backstabb . a higher lvl special that will unlock later stage of the game for RIFLE users, of course reusable)

    WTB Ruse line extention. ruse 4 would be good. ( tell me how many of us can hide from greenie scouts? the AS restriction and the high concealment of greenies make some points for FC give us a bit more luv)

    WTB unlock of more RK nanos. etc : ncu buff in mimic fixers. and higher lvl MP pets

    WTB lower requirement for SL damage nano lines.

    and lastly restore the way how "The Shot" works.
    not blowing cover while perked.

    edit:: glory is still bugged btw.

    er. i think.. FC has a fatal weakness.. makes expansion to earn our money.. thats alrite as we r enjoying.. but they always bring the bugs foward.. to new phase of game... and eventually bug stack bugs and we end up with alot of bugs>.< 2 cent no hard feelings

For me the root and snare line has just been a way to get rid of nano points for the most part.

    I have used Hold Victim against level 75ish mobs and have had it break as soon as i finished casting, or a few seconds later, if it even landed at all. Usually i see <target> has countered your nano program

    THANK YOU for fixing the sneak bug. It's a small step, but still - it's in the right direction.

    As for a current issue, though, I can't really think of anything new. The balancing act has been far broken for a long time since Shadowlands came around, but I still love playing my agent anyways. I think the real main reason is because EVERYONE thinks they can be a DD, when they're clearely marked as either a trade skill class, support class or tank class. Not EVERYONE should be able to dish out damage.

    I think if Lost Eden puts all classes in their place, IE losing this MP god mode crap and enforcing profession's roles (example? A doc should be on the lower half of damage, as their job isn't to kill, but to heal), AO will have a good balance again.

    Either way, Agent is still way more fun to play than any other class, IMHO. Would never be caught dead playing an MA. Way too damn easy.

    So far, the issues i see are:
    - bugged stacking of SL damage/proc buffs
    - bugged Glory on Silenced alien rifles

    As for improvements, i'd be really happy to see:
    - refreshable mimics (even in the form of an agent SL nano, for example)
    - reasonable reqs on highest SL buffs (seriously, can *anyone* upload them?)
    - a way to better use our huge number of perks (automated chain-perking like suggested in another thread
    - an access to Support line of symbs (agents *are* a support prof in a way, why should fixers and keepers have Support access and not us? I don't think we would be overpowered here)

    But i don't think we need improvements in such things as:
    - Concealment: we can't hide from certain aliens until 215-220, but these are really the only thing in the whole world we can't hide from, so i'd say we're fine here
    - the Shot: its not cancelling sneaking was totally unfair in PvP, imho
    - Reusable AS: it's intended to be an opening attack, and we would be really overpowered if we were able (...authorized?) to reuse this unavoidable, easily capped attack.

    er.. regarding concealment.. we r supposed to be the prof that specialize in sneaking and u dont think we need improvement? not a flame. but i think we need more concealment.

    rite . The Shot might be abit overpowered in the past. but dont chu think without any cacoon or layers or evade perks.all we got is abit of decent damage perk line. i think they should let us be .

    what special we got atm? AS and Fling. with the best rifle available . silenced type 2-3. only fling is reusable. we r really gimp in that aspect. kinda doing support unit damage. or 220 pet's damage ( Carlo and Rihwen and Chicken bot)

    hello all of you

    After having read the all thread about agent's concern i must admit i do agree with most of militaryman post. I m now agent since two years and have exactely the same feeling about our prof left alone. But it is a feeling and, i guess, it would requier some more experience, on my side, to give an objective opinion on what should be changed, implemented or improoved for the agent profession ( which i still enjoy playing ).

    From what i understood, what agent need is to re-focus on the original gameplay of the profession. For me the main aspect of it is the FP ability which allows us to counterbalance the natural lack of the agent itself and/or the one of a team. This is getting hard when it comes to the SL aspect of the game.

    So i am asking myself if it could bring something new, hopefully usefull, to have the possibility to specialize in one, and only one, of the following branches: Support, Crowd Control, Damage, (""Tanking"") or, if not the branch, in a specific profession through nano or quest or both?

    That will, in my sense, allow us to choose (like with FP's) which lack we want to correct. Without speaking of What, How, When an exemple would be : to specialize in shade or MA will let us improove the DD aspect. To specialize in doctor or adv for the healing part. Crat or trad to control and sol or engi to enhance shielding. Beside this being a specialist could also allow the agent refreshing his "favorite" fp and accessing the "full" nanoline of that specific prof.

    what i would like done to agents is

    1) As many people have said, allow refreshes on false/assume/mimic profession. there's no reason why this shouldn't be allowed.

    2) Let Beacon warp be castable under FP engi!! (this would be so useful for AI raids).. OK maybe not the most essential thing but it's a good idea.

    IMO agents shouldn't be allowed to use SL nanos. It's good the way it is.. agents really would be overpowered if they could use nanos like Bodily Invigoration (CH with a 4 sec recharge that uses barely more nano then CH) and Mongo's Ultra Behemoth (increases HP by 17,000 points - lol!)

    A nano that hides your Profession-info or make it says "Agent" regardless would be nice.

    Things to fix:

    AS should work always if there's enough concealment, without having the hatelist issues, whatever they are. Sometimes I just keep getting "aware of presence" from mobs I haven't agged in no way. So if I can go into sneaking mode (no one attacks me), I should be able to AS all the targets that don't have too high perception, no matter how I've bashed them before.
    This would actually make the detaunting line worth using again, to get rid of the agg to AS instantly again, instead of casting it once to "save me" from the first 2-3s of agg after the first aimed shot. It would also keep AS agent only in pvm, as the concealment skill is still required.
    In raid situation a failed AS is also a failed assassinate/death strike for me, since bouncing those perks is the only way I can land them with the ridiculous attack time. Not to mention I also face the concealment lock. I can live with the fact that I solo bit slower than others.

    As a neutral agent I also think that Sigil of Bahomet should have a concealment mod like the token boards. I find myself lacking concealment way too often (even with Made 10). Feels like an unnecessary neutral nerf, but I don't know how it would affect shades.

    The nanoskill requirements of the SL nanos are ok to me, those are all castable with some effort, and I can always go with the hexcuse "I would've done more damage if I had the time to go trader for top damagebuffs" . MAs seem to have same issues and they don't even have the mimic trader.

    I agree that agents should have bigger criticals, since we're assassins after all, we know where to hit. Plus the poison dmg in Kyr'Ozch rifle is just horrible, so hard to find equipment to increase it.
    In general I think the AS fix would improve our damage by tons, and put us back up where we belong. The hard gameplay should be rewarded instead of making us an average damageclass casting batons for teams. Yes in the endgame where our AS no longer takes the 70% of mobs health.

    Imo Monique's idea is conflicting with agent's nature: you mimic other professions because you don't want to show your real face (RP ftw :P). Anyway i like idea when you can choose what profession name will be showed
