ViaTek arrives on Rubi-Ka

Viable Teknologies, the largest mining corporation operating out of Mars, Sol System is currently looking to expand. They sent one of their brightest and youngest executive to Rubi-Ka. He arrived without a record thanks to a rather expensive dealing with a fixer. There he will operate out of Omni-Tek as an aspiring bureaucrat trying to see if conditions are right for ViaTek to launch a new branch there.

The new arrival's airshuttle dropped him off in Backyard 18 in the bustling Omni-Trade. He looks around and his datcomp told him in rather plain layman terms "Welcome new employee, please select new apartment" The arrival looks around, sees the center door having less dents and blaster markings than most he stepped inside.

Once inside the arrival found himself in a short empty hallway he looked to his datcomp. "Welcome to your new apartment have a productive day." He walked past the hallway and found himself in a brightly lit and very empty white room. After a quick 5 second inspection he found a second smaller empty rectangular room connected to the main empty room.

The new arrival from ViaTek thought to himself. "What have I gotten myself into?"

It has been almost four months since Viable Teknologies sent their most promiseing executive to Rubi-Ka. Now the young executive is paceing uneasily in his thinly furnished windowless apartment. His only company, a trusty ViaTek Defender droid. Tomorrow, he will become the director of his own company.

"Has it been that long?" Kithrak asked himself aloud.

"It has been approximately three months, twenty-six days, three hours, one minute and twenty-nine seconds since you have arrived on Rubi-Ka master Kithrak." The defender droid chimed cheerfully.

Four months, Kithrak thought to himself. Four months it took for him to climb up the corporate ladder with tooth and nail to get to where he is today....a mere secretary. The time spent were not in vain. He prudently saved and invested his precious earnings and managed to scrounge up enough to pay for the setting up of his own enterprise.

Kithrak sits down at his desk and checks over his papers again to make sure all the proper forms and licences are in order. He will submit them to Omni-Admin tomorrow and along with a hefty processing fee he will be the owner of Red Tape, a company that handles the excessive paperwork involved with the creation and running of a company...for a price. When he was satisified that everything was in order he looked around and opened a hidden compartment in his desk.

"This had better work." Kithrak thought to himself. ViaTek paid the same fixer considerable sums of money to build this device, a micropulse data transmitter. Kithrak carefully takes out the micropulse transmitter from the hidden compartment and presses a large green button. He waited for what seemed to be an eternity as the device compress all the data selected to be sent into one pulse transmission. After a while the device beeped once signifying it is finished and he put the device back into the hidden compartment.

Kithrak stretched wearily from spending most of the day filling out forms and applications. He went to his bed and was fast asleep.

Shortly after Kithrak fell asleep the directors of Viable Teknologies on Mars, Sol System recieved an encrypted data burst from Rubi-Ka, source unknown.
