Slotine takes another splash of cold water to her face. Wearily, she looks upon her own reflection in the mirror and grimaces.

“You’re one sick puppy, you know that?” she says to the other woman in the mirror. “Moi? You’re the one who drank her blood,” was the reply.

A low sigh escapes her. “Well, what else was I suppose to do? I had to stall didn’t I? Who knows when the crazy lady was going to do her thing.” A pause. “Besides, it gave me a chance to give Tussa the gun…”

Her own voice interrupted, “cut the dramatics Slo, you and I both know that you gave her the gun so that she’d fight and end up dead sooner. A self-terminating solution, isn’t that the appropriate technical term?”

Slotine’s shoulders slump further, and in a low voice mumbles, “Maybe. Maybe. It’s all moot anyways. That Devils Advocate guy waltzed in and saved her. Now R.U.R. is in trouble once more, but this time, we can’t touch her.”

The darkness came quickly and embraced her. Silence. Peace.

The spirits, like her, were now content and quiet. She wondered if she would appear at the altar of Shere, to be judged, accepted or denied by her deeds. Sundai was confident he would accept her. She had always served him to the best of her abilities, and she had always served the spirits inside of her. Perhaps Shere would relieve her of them, and they would continue their divine journey in another shade, a shade that wouldn't be her... thankfully.

She had come so close to obtaining Tussa's spirit, she had captured one of the windows to her soul. You cannot take both windows and let the prey hide in darkness. No, the soul window had to be open to the horrors of the physical realm. She had only needed Tussa to give herself over, to accept the fate of becoming one with her for eternity. She was sure Tussa would have, if only she had a little more time with her.

R.U.R. hadn't told anyone, of that Sundai felt pretty confident. If the R.U.R. leader (Goddess perhaps) had discovered such a thing, she would surely admonish them, as Shere would do to her if she betrayed him. It didn't matter now though, she was dead and could dwell in the shadows of the afterlife, in peace and solitude.

Her thoughts were interupted by the glow of a bright light. A small circle that grew closer, the opening of a tunnel perhaps into the afterlife. Sundai was scared.

Why would there be light here? "Surely, I would not deserve such a torturous afterlife?" She thought as the light began to envelop her. It surrounded her, poking at her conscious, weaving a destiny in front of her...

    She was really scared...

And then it was upon her and her eyes opened. She was in a garden, it reminded her of her home. How strange to see ones mortal home manifest itself in the afterlife. She looked around and saw two young shades who casually glanced at her. "Perhaps this is where we are judged?" she thought, as the shades continued about their own pursuits. She then saw a follower of light run past her. "How can this be?" she thought as she rubbed her eyes in disbelief.

"Where am I?" she quietly asked before shouting it louder, "Is this the afterlife?"

The follower of light stopped and momentarily examined her before answering "OMG noob, this is the garden in elysium!".

The darkness quickly embraced her consciousness and she was lost, unable to think or see clearly. The fear overwhelmed her and she began crying again as the light returned to overwhelm her again.

"Are you ok?" a voice asked her. The follower of light looked down upon her. Sundai looked up at him, her vision blurred with her tears. "I am not dead. I AM NOT DEAD! Shere! Why have you forsaken me?" her spirit demanded. He lifted her up and she pulled away from him quickly. She ran her hands along her body. She was no longer hurt from the vicious fight she had with the lightbringer and the ignorant martial artist who claimed to follow the dark path, surely she was dead...

    They called to her...

"No, we were dead. You're dead. You are not here. This can't be..." Sundai wasn't sure if she had said it outloud or not. She really didn't care either. The spirits interrogated her, "Where is she... where is our lover. Why do you not have her for us. Where is she?". They attacked her, mercilessly stripping her weakened defenses and torturing her soul. They squeezed her until she couldn't breathe.

She had to get away and she began running through the garden, the spirits relentlessly tugging her will into the depths of their despair. She ran to the familiar protruding rock and touched it. She needed to hide in the shadows, she needed to gain her strength.

She ran through elysium; crying, fighting, screaming, begging, and taking in every small gift of air they allowed her.

    She was not dead.

    Nothing had changed.

Trybes stood on a wooden crate staring at his magnificent self in a three way mirror, he reached up and straightened the silk tie with a smile as the old balding tailor brushes a stray strain of string from his trousers. A new day, a new suit, it wouldn’t replace his old one or the comm link he kept in it. People do strange things in the thrives of passion and panic, things like tear the sleeves off an very expensive suit jacket to stop the bleeding of a woman that would rather see you dead then have you save her and wrap her shivering naked body up with the remained of the jacket. You’d better be worth it he remembered whispering to her as he carried Jenae to safety.
Trybes turned to get a better look at his profile. “You ever do crazy stuff for a woman, Author?”
“Oh yes sir.” Answered the old man quickly on cue.
“I’ve saved her twice now from certain death and I haven’t even got as much as a thank you. She is a clanner and I’m an employee of Omni but I don’t see where that makes much of a difference in this case. Does it?:
Author shoke his head and pinned back the cuff of the suit with a pin. “No sir.”
“All I want from her is a little recognition you know, she put a bounty on my head you know. Am I suppose to take that as a sign that says ‘Thanks for saving my life back there, now could you please stand still so I can have this thug shoot you?’?” Trybes raised his arms as the old man measured his waistline. “I like the woman, Author, I really do. But how am I going to get it out of her head that I’m not some Omni jerk trying to use and abuse her?”
    “Don’t suck in sir…”
Trybes let out a breath and let his belly reform to its rounder shape. He’d gained a few pounds, time to start cutting back on the happy hours at the club.
“Well sir, have you tried flowers? Women do love flowers.”
    “Hmm, you don’t say… flowers.”
    “Indeed sir.”
Trybes smiled to himself in the mirror. “Maybe that’s it. Thanks Author you’ve been a real help.”
    “Oh you’re most welcome sir.”
“Say Author, I’ve got another problem maybe you can help me with… what do you know about cleaning up oil?”
“I’d use an oxidizing solvent sir, lift the oil right out of the fabric.”
Trybes nodded and smiles once again at his magnificent image in the mirror.

In the dark of the night a shadow moved swiftly, placing a few hundred dozen bouquets of flowers on the Assembly headquarters front steps making sure to leave a small card addressed to Jenae Godfrey.

Dookumi is lost in thought as she looks at her comm unit. That was the first and longest conversation she's had with anyone since that day. The tiny OT device startles her with a sudden bleep announcing an incoming transmission, she hesitates opening the link based on the last call she answered...

    =======================================
She was deep in Elysium when the call came in. “Excuse me...” said an unfamiliar female voice. “I'm a helper of RUR. I have something for you...”

Curiosity won over caution and Amelie agreed to meet the Shade. “Give me 10 minutes to get there,” she told the woman as she ran to the nearest Shere statue. “Don’t make me wait - I get impatient.” came the woman’s cold response. "And I tend to get lost" she retorted "now I swear there was a transport statue somewhere in this garden" she spoke as she vaulted over another of the garden's terraces.

Following the Shade’s directions she arrived at the run down Newland complex just as other members of RUR were being led into an apartment. A young nanomage woman came back out to escort her into the building. She entered just as the Shade was giving a little black box to RUR’s accountant. The woman had a sultry-blood lust air to her that was not improved by the Tier amour, which made her seem like a cheap dominatrix. “You’re not into anything kinky are you?” Amelie couldn’t help blurting out while the accountant opened the box containing the Shade’s gift – an eye and three fingers. “Ewwwwwwwwwww!” screamed the Mire.

“Follow me” said the Shade, “I SAID FOLLOW ME” she screamed out when no one moved. Fully armed with her sarcasm Amelie strolled past the dominatrix wanna-be, “Hope you got some coffee on” she said to the Shade. Wrinkling her nose at the sickly smell that was definitely not coffee.

Giddily the Shade lead them to the small closet at the back of the apartment “In there, look, look my gift, I did it for your leader – your god – your goddess – Dabbz” bubbled the Shade in a stream of words that were lost on Amelie as she stared into the small room. Jenae Godfray and the Assembly fixer were lying in a pool of blood.

The girl was huddled against the wall – her face streaked with blood and tears – one eye just an empty socket. The fixer lay sprawled on the floor with his back to Amelie – she couldn’t see what state he was in but guessed it wasn’t any better than Ms. Godfray’s.

Amelie wanted to scream, throw up and shoot the Shade all at once. She has seen enough blood and gore when she served in the military, but this, this was just sadistic insanity. The Shade was insane. Amelie did not know what to do so she shifted to cold and emotionless. “Oh look, you exhausted them,” she stated casually while walking into the small room to look at the two bodies “And hey! He finally got a new outfit!” she gibed while looking closer at the fixer. “Are you sure you’re not into anything kinky?” she asked the Shade.

What to do? Amelie’s mind raced – none of the RUR people even together could take out the Shade. Knowing how nice Ms. Godfray has been to them, most probably wished the Shade was more effective in her executions. She couldn’t help being vengeful herself, considering the swift kick that Godfray gave her at their first meeting which sent Amelie in her leet form rolling across the room.

“May I?” she asked politely of the Shade as she cast Greatness and waddled back to place a few swift nips on Godfray’s ankles. Well at least that proved that both Godfray and the fixer were further from death than their sorry state suggested! “Help me…” came a mind scream from Godfray – Amelie responded by casting some heals on both when the Shade was not looking. That should keep them alive till their friends came…at least she hoped they came.

She quickly waddled out of the apartment before she lost her stomach. Not wanting to leave just yet she proceeded to torment the Shade’s lackey changing the young woman into a reet that she pursued across the yard till the Devils Advocate martial artist arrived. Like most non-animal loving people he tried to throttle the leet screaming, “Where is she?!”

[It's a bit to and from now, but I think the readers of this thread gets it. This is back in the apartment with the torturing shade]

She drifted in and out of consciousness. There was so little energy left in her anemic body, and when she was awake, her thoughts were slow and her vision and hearing blurry. There were more people in the apartment now, but she couldn't make out who they were. Right now, she only longed for death, before the shade could steal her spirit.

She didn't know that much about shades, but she knew they were creatures of the Shadowlands. Some had adapted to a life on Rubi-Ka, some were indeed more creature than human. But all of them had the ability to drain a persons spirit from their body, and without that, there could be no reclaim upon death.

These were complicated thoughts for a dying mind. She was losing blood fast, and so was Kotts. She could hear him squirm behind her, where she lay curled up in a corner, more covered in blood than in shredded clothing. As a very last effort, she tried to connect with the people in the room and doorway, the people who were yet faceless and nameless to her. It drained her completely, and she faded away to another deep darkness.

Again she woke up. There were only two voices now. The shade and another woman. With a hint of surprise, Jen noticed the bleeding from the stubs where the four fingers had been had stopped, as if someone had run a light healing program in her NCU. She crawled over to Kotts and laid her head on his leg, exhausted. A little later - she couldn't identify time anymore, it could've been two minutes, it could've been an hour - she finally mustered the strength to look up. She heard the people outside the door talk. They mentioned...Dabblez? She recognised one of them from the RUR press conference in Newland, and the shade spoke to them about doing what she was asked.

"They're..." She blinked. "RUR..? I recognise one of them..." She coughed quietly, some dark blood splattering from the corner of her mouth. Anger arose within her again, but she couldn't muster the strength to do anything other than hiss between gritting teeth. There was movement outside and the RUR woman dragged her and Kotts further inside the small, dark room. She waited for a second, then knelt down next to Jen.

"Okay, we don't have much time. Right now, the crazy lady's lackey is getting some ice so there's only her. Here..." she said, her voice hardly more than a whisper as she shoved a small, bulky weapon in Jen's hands.. "...you still have a trigger finger. I suggest you use it."

Kotts cursed at the woman, drawing ragged breaths, and the woman kicked him in the side to answer him. Jen looked at her and mumbled, hardly conscious. "..this is your doing....Dabblez...and yours".

"None of this was intended. You brought it upon yourselves," she answered, as she quickly ran a treatment kit procedure on Jen, who closed her eyes, resting a little while her wounds closed up and stopped bleeding.
"...you'll die.." she whispered to the RUR woman.
"Come find me sometime then. If you survive. I give you less than one chance in ten."

The door opened, and the shade walked in. Jen was dizzy and faint and didn't really hear the conversation. The pain had increased, it felt like the cells in her body were screaming and stabbing eachother. Her only thought was to get her and Kotts out. She fiddled with the gun and mumbled "...on my count...". She, who didn't even know how to fire a pistol.

The woman whispered in a hiss as she took a vial out and sweep up some blood off the ground and walls. "No. Wait until the time is right." From outside the door, the shade woman was screaming again and her voice terrified Jen. It was like she was standing on the edge of death and the shrieks from that woman was drawing her nearer the point of falling each time

"going... to kill them..." she heard muttered next to her. Kotts was crawling towards the door. She pushed the gun to him. It was no use anyway, she couldn't see and she didn't know automatic weapons very well. She started crawlign after him, but it was too much. Tears mixed with blood and painted ugly grimes down her face. She couldn't withstand it anymore. The last thing she took notice of before unconsciousness embraced her again, was the rapid bursts of an SMG

"Lights to 80 percent," she spoke for the first time in 2 hours. The lights gradually increased as she peered at the fine print of the document. Her eyes narrowed, trying to focus on the miniscule words. She leaned over, grabbed a datapad next to her and entered the word "Unctuosity". Reading the corresponding response, she made a note on the document. Reading ahead, she made another entry for the word "saponaceousness', and made further translation notes on the document.

The assembly room at the Devil's Advocate headquarters was littered with boxes of such documents. In the center of the haphazard layout of boxes, stacks of papers and a bottle of Hit the Floor Jack, Hattie "Ditzie" McCallagher sat cross-legged in silk pajama bottoms and a tank top, sorting through the most bizarre contract conceivable.

She sat the document she was reading on a teetering stack at her right, and reclined back, stretching out on the bare floor. She pointed her bare toes outward, stretching tendons and muscles.

As she stretched silently, the main door to the assembly room slid open with a barely audible hiss. Heavy boots echoed through the vast room, mixed with a sharp crunching sound, followed by chewing. "Done yet?" Nevver asked, popping another cheese puff into her mouth and munching loudly.

Ditzie's eyes narrowed menacingly, as she turned her head to glare at the towering woman. "What do you think?"

Nevver sat down near an untouched stack of the contract, sent from RUR to engage Devil's Advocate to address the environmental clean-up. She looked it over a second and asked "What's Chrismation?"

Ditzie sat up, and resumed her cross-legged possition on the bare floor. She shrugged at Nevver, and picked up another piece of paper. She was halfway through the page when something smacked her in the center of her forehead with a sharp "thwapp"! Looking down, the lines of legal jargon could be seen, spoiling what would otherwise have been the perfect paper yalm.

Ditzie growled. "That's it! No Mercy!!!" she wadded up her paper into a ball and heaved it at Nevver. The document made a crunching sound as it lightly hit Nevver on her left shoulder.

"You need to work on your aim, Hattie," Never said as she wadded another paper into a ball and wizzed it at her friend, smacking her on the cheek.

Paper flew. The room was filled with the sound of wadding paper, hysterical laughing and friendly insults.

"Guys! I don't want to interrupt," came the voice of a new entry into the room. "But, is that the RUR contract?"

Nevver and Ditzie looked around at the mess of papers, then at Eerika standing just within the doorway. Ditzie looked back at Eerika, and tying to keep a straight face, said, "Ee, does the Headquarters have an iron?" Ditzie and Nevver burst out laughing, filling the room with thunderous echoes.

    [Posted as Christopher "Xelger" Junior]

The apartment was silent, the darkness was only penetrated by the flashing light of Chozo's recharger. He had been beaten pretty bad by this Div. Caught unsuspecting from behind a tree, there wasn't much he had been able to do to protect his Master and Creator. Thankfully, he wasn't beyond repair. Christopher always had some tricks in his coat, parts in his boxes, and the stamina to fix him. Chris was more or less half-bionicle. Certain organs replaced by a highly sophisticated set of machinery, adding strength to his arms, stamina to his heart, and other traits which was sought after by a certain... Shall we say entity...

Chris had fallen asleep at his desk that night. Seeing Jen and Kotts in something that could not be described as 'in one piece', yet atleast alive, wore his mind out. Not exactly literally pulling his hair out, trying to find one way or another which could help them back to health, find this Div shade person, figure out the plans of some Mr Clyburn, getting RUR to understand, and Omni-Pol to get off their necks... All at the same time.

His comlink beeped silent and discreet. It was always on low, incase he was in a meeting, with someone, or in a delicate situation where he would simply know that someone had buzzed him, without others getting interrupted.
He opened his eyes, his head laid on the desk looking out the hallway of his little workshop, Chozo was next to the desk. He was home, safe.

    The message was from Jen.

"Chris, I want you to decipher that..."
It went on, but Chris noticed a second comlink on his desk, next to the ring. He groaned before reading the full message and put his comlink down on the desk, got up, switched Chozo on and walked over to the fridge.

    "Good morning, Christopher."
    "It's late, almost eleven."
"I stand corrected. The attack must have done something to my timetables."

Christopher pulled out some Quick-Dinner, shoved it into the Notumwave Oven, done in a blink, he pulled out the plate and sat down at his desk again, picking at the snack.

    "Twenty-Two Twenty-Seven."
    "Thank you, Christopher."
    The android paused.
"You have a message. Would you like me to carry it out?"

Chozo, of course directly connected to Christopher's comlink so he could answer the calls Chris would miss, had read the order from Jen.

"Yes Chozo, if you wouldn't mind.. I have a headache.."
"I understand, Christopher. Lady Godfray and Mr Clay were not a pretty sight, according to my bio-scans."
"I don't want to be reminded right now..."
Chris picked at the warm snack with his fork, pondering why he had made himself something to eat, when there was no appetite in him at the time.
"Please pardon me, Christopher. I will see what I can do about Lady Godfray's orders."
Chris nodded at the android, not looking up, just staring and picking at the snack.

Just then, there was a sinister snicker from Chris' comlink.

"Well, well, well, that's some pretty damn good handywork."
Chris eyed the ring on the table, trying a bite from the snack from his fork.
    "I'm sure it pleased you."
    "Not at all."
    Chris perked a brow.
    "No?"
"I wasn't the one doing it, no pleasure in seeing my trophies going to waste to some random chick with sticks."
    "Of course..."
"Don't tell me you thought I had lost my grip, did you meatbag?"
"Could always hope..." Another piece of his snack found its way to his lips.
"Hope, one of mankinds many faults."
Chris just shook his head slowly, eating more comfortably now.
"Christopher, I am unable to access that comlink. Something is interfering."
Chris glanced up at Chozo and took the comlink in hand, studying it, checking for 'bugs'.
    "Must I do everything?"

Christopher perked a brow as he looked at the innocent ring on his desk. Soon after, his comlink was buzzing with the commlink-numbers to all of Mr Clyburn's contacts both business and personal where through further inspection, Mr Clyburn's business and personal contacts was a mixture of both Omni and Clanners, with a few off world numbers here and there.. Amongst procedures to get around Omni-Pol security protocols as well as ICC and Clan ones. Multiple credit cards none of which were in his name, fake passport ID's, and of course the picture Of Tussa kissing Trybes on the patio of Baboon's.

Chris looked up at Chozo, who was already directing his friendly green eye back at him, then both down at the ring.

    "How..?"
"How does a favour for a favour sound?"
Chris hesitated. "..What do you want?"
"I want to see Tuts' damage with my own eyes, or the information will vanish as quick as it appeared."
He couldn't say no. He didn't understand how Sigma had been able to access Mr Clyburn's comlink, with the restricted access Chozo and Chris had set between the ring and Chris' comlink. He didn't dare to challenge him.
"I'll see what I can do.. Sigma.."

Eerika turned around with a faint "tsk, tsk" and left the Devi's Advocate Assembly Room with the still giggling Ditzie and Nevver in it. She'd have to see about an add-on for Henri later, to iron out the crumpled documents. Maybe her hacked The Milly enhancment for Bodyguards would finally install this time, and not have a bugged Beebitty-boobity-boo interface like the previous attempts. Either she needed to find better hackers, or actually contact R.U.R. about a legitimate version. She could not, for obvious reasons, have DA hackers know about the other enhancements she had in Henri. She was sure she could not even have their youngest hacker, Ophela, in on a scheme that would ensure Henri's most confidential abilities not to be "spilled".

Eerika had more pressing matters at hand. Dr Wagner had reported great success with her project, namely that of improving the original idea of using leets to absorb the oil in that godforsaken puddle of mud in Wailing Wastes. Eerika had kept the doctor from reporting her results yet. At least until she herself reviewed the project, titled "Project leet tampon". Eerika sighed.

After having met Trybes by chance just outside of Rompa some days ago, she had grown increasingly stressed. All the bloodshed was making her nervous. And now she'd discovered about the eyeballs and fingers and what nots. The information leaks caused by Trybes' loss of his fancy com made Ee feel dizzy.

It was enough to make her want to sign for another "rehabilitation vacation" in Lush Resort. While she had little faith in Doctor Wagner as a scientist, the project was beginning to look like it was the only chance for her and Devil's Advocate to turn this around, and make a profit. She wasn't sure if they could continue with the plan of trying to collect both on the R.U.R. clean-up contract and the bounties. The entire catastrophy was getting out of hand.

She wanted to contact their Chief Engineer, Tynchre, soon with Dr W's project details. Otherwise, they would all be swimming in a Luxury swimming pool of blood.

RUR Press release regarding the NEAMO incident

We at RUR have been working away diligently not only to enable the clean up of the unfortunate spill, but also to ascertain what caused this regrettable accident to happen.
As a result of this we have uncovered the prescence of a malicious virus that has been planted in some of out Bot AI. In particular this virus was present in the Bots that were handling the NEAMO. It would appear that the virus caused these Bots to malfunction, resulting in the spill.
At this time we are working closely with Omni-Pol and have several leads as to who the culprit of this heinous act of sabotage is.

Chris was in his apartment, again.
But not at his desk this time. He took the CPU-chip that was Chozo's personality and files out of the Bureaucrat Bot-Shell and laid it in his pocket, closed the chest of the bot.
The organization channel buzzed to life. It was Jen, she was feeling better to Chris' relief. But thenagain, it was the matter of the 'complications' with the information of Mr Clyburn's comlink. He asked her to come to his apartment, without saying why, just that he needed help with something regarding the comlink.
He sat down outside, on the pearl/marmor-white bench, just around the corner for his apartment. Soon after, he heard a knock on his door. Tilting his head around the corner, he saw a winged young girl. 'Wings?' he thought and walked quietly towards her. Of course, it was Jen.

Xelger taps Jen on the shoulder
Tussa jumps and turns around to face Xelger
    Xelger smiles
    Tussa: Hey!
Xelger: I was on the bench
Xelger looks over his shoulder and points at the bench and looks back at Tussa
    Tussa smiles and hugs him
    Xelger smiles and hugs back
    Tussa: I didnt see you
Tussa: My peripheral vision is a bit...well...messed up
Tussa motions to the dark glasses
    Xelger nods a little
Tussa: So..what did you want my help with?
Xelger sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose with two fingers
Xelger: Jen.. Don't freak out.. Ok?
    Tussa tilts her head
    Tussa: Err...ok..?
    Tussa: Wait...
    Tussa: Is this about..
    Tussa: ~Sigma?~
Xelger: ..He's locked tight Jen, there's nothing he can do.
    Tussa shivers ever so slightly
Xelger: He just wanted to.. See you.
    Tussa: Ugh
Xelger: I haven't even turned him on yet..
Xelger motions his hand to the door
Tussa: Okay...I'll do what I can
    Xelger smiles sadly
    Xelger: Ok..
    Tussa: But Chris...
    Xelger eyes Jen's wings
    Xelger: Hm?
Tussa: If he...well...if he goes too far, I won't stay, ok?
    Tussa: He creeps me out
Tussa: Heh...listen to us...talking about "him" as if "he" were flesh and blood...
    Xelger: We need the information..
Xelger: ..He was flesh and blood once..
Xelger looks down at his finger where the ring was
Tussa: No...he was a virus attached to your body, Chris
Tussa: That's not the same as being a human
    Xelger frowns and nods
Xelger: Lets go inside and get this over with..
    Tussa nods slowly

    The two walk inside.
It wasn't a very well-lit apartment, and the cardboard boxes still took up most of the floorspace.

    Xelger eyes her wings again
    Xelger: Funny things..
    Tussa looks at him
    Tussa: What is?
Xelger: Those.. Things on your back..
    Xelger: What are they anyway?
    Tussa: They're my wings..
    Tussa smiles
    Xelger raises a brow
    Tussa: Part armor, part metaphysical
Xelger: You can feel them then?
Tussa: Like...a manifestation of the quantum "wings" I use when I fly?
    Tussa nods
    Tussa: I can, yeah
Xelger motions a hand to them and looks at Jen
    Xelger: May I?
Tussa looks at him and smiles, nodding slowly
Xelger lays his hand on the top wing gently and strokes out to the tip
    Tussa shivers, lowering her head
Tussa: It's like you're touching my soul...inside me, sorta.
Xelger pulls his hand back to him
    Xelger: Oh..Sorry.
    Tussa: No...no, no...
    Tussa: It's comfortable
Xelger nods and clears his throat
    Tussa smiles, blushing a little
    Xelger: Well yes.. Ok.
    Tussa: Should we...?
Tussa looks towards the living room
    Xelger raises brow
Xelger: I don't know if this is the ti-.. Oh right..
Xelger clears his throat and turns quickly
Tussa looks at him and blushes more
Xelger eyes the bot secured to the wall by the wrists and ankles
Tussa clears her throat and walks around it
    Xelger: Sorry about the mess..
    Tussa: No...don't worry
Xelger nods at the zounds of cardboard boxes
Tussa: Still haven't moved in properly, have you?
    Tussa smiles
Xelger: No.. I kind of felt like I had to keep the place as if I was still on the move somewhere.. Kind of strange..
Tussa looks at the bot shell, swallowing hard
Xelger plucks a well familiar ring out from a containment
    Tussa eyes his movements
Xelger opens the chest on the bot where a 'heart' would be and inserts the ring into a similar containment and closes the chest
    Tussa eyes him nervously
    Tussa tilts her head
    Tussa: Gods...why am I nervous...
    Tussa looks at him
Xelger taps his wristpad a few times and looks at Jen
    Xelger: Are you ready?
    Tussa nods slowly
Tussa: As ready as I can be, I guess
Xelger nods and taps his wristpad once more
Tussa turns back to the bot, the skin on her arm goosebumping
Sigma his eye flares red instantly and fixes on Jen
    Tussa: *cold* Hello Sigma
    Sigma: Aahh.. Tuts..
    Tussa: Charming as ever.
    Tussa: What do you want?
Sigma tries to take a step forward but simply clonks his ankles against the locks and looks down
    Xelger edges closer to Jen
Tussa gasps slightly and takes a small step back
Sigma looks at Chris "Unlock these."
Xelger: No.. You're a security risk.
Sigma fixes on Jen again "Come closer then, darling." *Sinister mechanical snicker*
    Xelger eyes Jen
    Tussa glances at Chris
Tussa whispers: Do I have to?
Xelger whispers: He wanted to see your.. Damage.
Tussa whispers: My...damage? My eye, you mean?
    Tussa glances back at Sigma
Xelger whispers: I guess so.. He can't hurt you though.
    Tussa: What do you want?
Sigma: I want you to come closer so I can pluck your wings. *Tries to reach his arms forward but clonks against the locks again*
    Xelger: Behave Sigma.
Tussa figdets and finds Chris' hand with hers
Sigma makes a mocking voice of Xelger's "Behave Sigma."
Tussa: We should kill you, Sigma...contain you in a bot shell and shut it down
Xelger glances down on their hands and holds her hand gently
Sigma: That doesn't provide you with the information I took, does it?
    Tussa squints
    Tussa: What information?
    Sigma: From the comlink.
Tussa pulls back her hand and adjusts her glasses
    Tussa looks at Chris
    Tussa: HE has it?
Xelger shrugs a little at Jen
Xelger: Chozo couldn't access, Sigma somehow unlocked the information right away..
Sigma: Chozo is too old. It's me you need, ****bag.
    Tussa peers
Tussa takes a deep breath and takes a long step forward
Tussa Tell me what's in it, Sigma
Sigma: Aw, come closer Tuts, it'll be like old times. *Tries to reach his arms forward again, leaning forward from the wall*
Tussa eyes his restraints and how far they reach, then moves a little closer
Tussa: This is close enough. Now tell me about the comlink information
Sigma: That's a little better.. Now how about those glasses? *Tilts his head*
    Tussa looks intently at him
Tussa: What do you want, Sigma
Sigma: I want to see that stabbers' handywork.
    Tussa shivers
    Tussa: Why?
Sigma: To tell you how I can do it so much better.. *Pulls his body against the wall and leans hard forward, the restraints shake and resounds through the apartment.*
    Tussa yelps
Tussa whispers: They don't look so safe..
Xelger: Play nice Sigma, or I shut you off for good. I'm sure there's other ways we can get the information.
Xelger whispers: They're firmly anchored.. Chozo didn't manage to pull free when we tested them.
Tussa whispers: But...Chozo doesn't have Sigma's fanatic mind. Anger, madness and sorrow makes people stronger..
Sigma: There isn't. *Keeps pulling forward, the restraints and the arms squeaks mechanicly together*
Tussa whispers: Listen to us...talking like he was a person *swallows*
Xelger whispers: Trust me, they won't break..
Tussa steps forward again, visibly nervous
    Xelger stays by Jen
Tussa: Maybe it's not worth it, Sigma
Tussa: Maybe we'll just leave now.
Sigma instantly sends the picture of Jen and Mr Clyburn kissing outside Baboons to Jen's comlink
Tussa: Names on a comlink address book...it's no- ....
    Tussa blushes
    Tussa: Delete that!
    Xelger tries not to look
    Tussa turns to Chris
Tussa whispers: Chris...he tricked me...it's not what it looks like
Sigma: I hear they are looking for billboard advertisements. Old Athens should pay well for this picture.
    Xelger whispers: Sure..
    Xelger keeps looking at Sigma
    Tussa looks at him, hesitating
Tussa whispers: You don't believe me..?
Sigma: Would you two like some privacy?
    Tussa looks at Sigma
Xelger whispers: I believe you Jen.. Still makes me think. I'm only human.
Tussa: The city council has other things to do than to tickle your fancy and place a stupid picture like that on the billboards, Sigma
Tussa: And for the record, that picture is totally taken our of context!
    Tussa whispers: I see..
Sigma: And throw your sweet ass out I'm sure.
Tussa frowns, the immediate air around her simmering
Xelger discreetly places a hand on Jen's lower back
    Xelger whispers: Don't worry.
Tussa takes another step towards the android, pulling off her glasses
Sigma: leans forward and peers at Jen's missing eye. The mere silence makes you swear he's grinning.
Tussa looks at him with one eye, the other eyesocket empty, the upper eyelid neatly folding over it. The are around looks normal and not swollen anymore.
Tussa: Give us the information, Sigma
Tussa puts the glasses on again
Sigma: I'm sure that feels good..
    Tussa grits her teeth
    Tussa: Give us...the information, Sigma!
Sigma: You could atleast ask nicely. *Yanks at the restraints again, dirt and dust loosens from the wall and rains down. The mechanical clanks echoes.*
Xelger takes Jen's wrist as he gasps slightly
    Tussa yelps and jumps back
Xelger: Please Sigma, I'll make your conditions better. Just give us the information.
    Tussa whispers: Don't beg
Xelger whispers: I figure that's what he wants.
Tussa whispers: Don't let him think you agree to his thwarped view on who's the superior one.
    Tussa looks at Sigma
    Xelger whispers: Rubbing ego works..sometimes.
    Tussa whispers: Fine
Sigma: I'd like to hear Tuts say that..
Sigma: And mean it. *Sinister laugh*
Tussa: Please, Sigma. Can you give us the information?
Tussa grits her teeth and swallows hard
    Sigma laughs more
Xelger: Come on Sigma, you've seen what you wanted. You've had your fun.
Sigma: The fun hasn't started just yet. Just you wait, and you'll see. *The red eye flickers, there's a message from Sembly in Jen's comlink containing all the information from the comlink.*
Tussa looks at the beeping comlink
    Tussa whispers: Let's go
    Tussa whispers: Please
    Tussa peers at the android
Xelger nods at Jen and taps his wristpad, the eye on the bot unlits.
    Tussa lets out a sob
The shut off bot-shell stands still against the wall
Xelger opens the chest and plucks the ring out quickly
    Xelger: I'm sorry about that..
Tussa turns to Chris, eyeing the ring
    Xelger shuts the chest close
Xelger lays the ring back in its containment on the desk
    Tussa draws a shaking breath
    Tussa: ...it's ok...
    Xelger taps his wristpad again
    The bot-shell de-materializes.
Xelger leans forward and hugs Jen gently
    Xelger: Did you get everything?
Tussa hugs him back, squeezing him and nodding
Xelger squeezes back gently but not too much
Tussa: I think so...Not sure. I'll have a look at it
    Tussa seems exhausted
Xelger nods and looks at the couch
    Xelger: Coffee?
    Tussa: ..I don't know...
    Xelger sighs and nods
    Xelger: Ok..
    Tussa: This whole place...this...him...
    Tussa shudders
    Xelger looks around a bit
Xelger: Yes.. I'm sorry. I should tidy up.
    Tussa: No, no...it's not that
    Tussa: It's because of...well, Sigma
    Xelger nods
Xelger looks down and reaches into his coat looking for something in his inner pocket
Tussa slides her hands down and steps back a little
Xelger: I hope you didn't quit eating these..
Xelger pulls out a high-class chocolatebar
    Tussa smiles brightly
    Tussa: Chocolate!
Xelger smiles softly and lays it in Jen's hand
Xelger: Enjoy it Jen. It's the last one I have for now.
Tussa takes the chocolate, smiling as she breaks off a small piece
Tussa: Maybe...we can have a cup of coffee
    Xelger smiles a little
    Xelger: Outside?
    Tussa smiles and nods
    Tussa That would be nice
Tussa: In the light...on the bench
    Xelger nods
Xelger: I'll just get the machine then.
Tussa puts the small piece of chocolate in her mouth, rolling her eye back behind her glasses
Xelger unplugs the charger from the wall and the coffeemachine and tucks it under his arm
    Xelger: After you, Saint.
    Xelger smiles
    Tussa: Pssh...
    Tussa giggles

The two walk outside again. They both take a breath of fresh air, both out of relief and walks slowly towards the bench and table.

    Tussa: Hm
    Tussa: New table?
    Xelger: Maybe.
Xelger smiles at Jen and sets the machine on the table, brewing them some cups coffee.

In the well lit office area at R.U.R. corporate headquarters, Miremeld flips through what looks like piles and piles of little yellow sticky notes with a common word on top of them all “Receipt”. *Sighs* “What don’t they understand about multy-forms” she says in a disgruntled tone.

    *Receipt*
    1 chair leg… 300,000crs

    Mac

    *Receipt*
    2 NCU qlt 67 15,000cr each

    *Receipt*
    Two tons of Chocolate
Two tons of crunchy cookie things
    Two tons of red wrapping

    Dookumi

“Tons…TONS!” she shouted making the room echo. “What on Rubi-ka does she need that much stuff for!” Then she noted a small notation at the very bottom that could barely be made out “Detailed on next page”

Mire franticly thumbed through the small sticky pads looking for any thing that resembled a continuation until finally she ran across one “Continued” which read.

    2 vats 3,000,000 cr

    Dookumi

With a rare showing of anger, Mire stood up from her desk causing her chair to fall backwards and bolted up the stairs and through the main doors of the building just in time to witness two cargo carriers launching south of the control tower. In the dust wind from the engines she sees a small slender figure looking up at the rising ships with her hand covering her eyes from the glare.

“DOOKI!” she yelled over and over while running as fast as her little legs to take her. Reaching Dookumi just as the wind from the rising ships’ lift engines died down and slightly out of breath, Miremeld says louder than she probably needed to..

“DOOKI! What were the tons of chocolate, cookies and wrapping for!”

With a bit of surprised look, Dookumi responds in a matter of fact tone

    “Why to make the Kit-Katts”

*Miremeld blinks and her jaw drops wide open taking in a last gust of sand*
*coughs from inhaling the sand Miremeld responds, “How much did you make?”

“Two crates just like it said on the order, why?”
“TWO CRATES! It was two bags!”
”No, no.. I swear I remember it saying two crates”

Miremeld lets out a low sigh, then starts to giggle, “Well, maybe it will take them a while to go through all of that and it will give us time to gather the rest of the credits for their bill”…..

"Okay, Sis! Here's the first recording." Marge "Tynchre" Eskew pressed a remote control button, bringing the viewscreen to life. The setting was the workshop in the basement of Devil's Advocate Headquarters in the deep southeast of Southern Artery Valley. In the center of the room was a huge syntheglass vat of transluscent yellowish fluid. Suspended over the vat was an Atrox clad in a loin cloth.

"Who's that?" Ditzie asked from her plush sofa.

"Ace someone or another. I can't remember his last name." Tynchre replied with a shrug. "Just some goon we picked up at an office building raid in Broken Shores."

Ditzie watched as the thrashing neuter was slowly lowered into the vat. Waves of oil sloshed over the side as the massive bulk was dunked and finally fully submerged. On the screen, Dr. Suzi "Waggery" Wagner stepped in front of the video recording device, the features of her face mostly filling the screen, and her hair towering upward and out of the frame. "As you can see, test unit Ace46372/b has what we would rate as slightly below average absorbtion properties for product NEAMO. Fully submerged for no less than 20 minutes, only scant traces of the product actually cling to his already greasy flesh."

Tynchre forwarded the video clip through Dr. Wagner's monologue. As the images sped across the viewscreen, Ditzie could see cascades of oil continue to spill over the side as the atrox known only as Ace thrashed beneath the surface.

"Now this next one is a little more interesting." Tynchre announced, startling Ditzie away from the fascinating fast-forward recording. "We call it, Leet on a stick!"

The video showed a deceased leet trussed to a long pole suspended over the vat. The dead leet was lowered into the container of NEAMO, and the pole began a slow stirring motion. Dr. Wagner again addressed the camera, quoting absorption percentages thousands of times more effective than Ace.

Tyncre sped through the video once more, until the third segment began. "This is the most interesting one," Tynchre said. "We call it The Leet Tango."

Ditzie's jaw went slack as she watched the image of a live leet, shakled with leg irons and secured with a polynylonsteel rope, was tossed into the vat. The Leet thrashed and screamed, coating itself more and more with the oil. Dr. Wagner allowed more of this video to be visible as she explained that the thrashing of the leet provided higher absorption, as the movement of the fur allowed for almost complete saturation.

As the video ended, Tynchre grinned at Ditzie. "So? Whatcha think? Do we have a winner?"

Ditzie looked at her sister, "You and Dr. Wagner have put a lot of effort into this, Sis." She wrinkled her nose slightly in a nervous habit. "We may have one more option, but we'll let you know soon."

Tynchre nodded slowly, a little less entusiastic. Ditzie smiled up at her. "And Sis," Ditzie added. "No one sees those test video's, Okay."

    Tynchre grumbled and nodded slowly.

Eerika was on her way out the door, adjusting her advanced comm piece in her hair, while checking her briefcase contents, and carrying on her conversation with Ditzie.

"... Tynchre and Waggery really got it working? Who would have thought!"
"Are you ready for more good news? Our plan B is a go. The green goo will be but a memory after this week!", Eerika's voice was almost chirpy.
"Yes, this is almost too exciting! I must dash, I need a refill on my briefcase... See you soon!"

Eerika disconnected, and with an uncharacteristically wide smile on her Opifex face, she hit the shortcut for Dabblez' comm. She found it odd that she actually couldn't stop grinning.

Michelle carefully read over a flood of letters on the monitor of her home terminal. For the umpteen time. Precisely these letters would be read all across the planet in a matter of hours. These same letters would trigger more aggressive persecution of R.U.R., pose uncomfortable questions to high-ranking OT-administration members by Omni-Prime and wash the name of the Assembly clean.
As much as possible for a rebel institution.

With a sigh she confirmed the micro-weave download to her wrist CPU. She had to deliver this personally to the scribbler. Nothing whatsoever had to be traceable back to herself.

Going on with her life. That’s what Jenae Godfay had promised her. Forget. Was that what she wanted, really…
The face of the meta-physicist came up in her mind. Black sunglasses. It assured her of her decision. Comforting words…

She rose from her chair and froze in mid-movement. There had been a noise at the door. Somebody had accessed the presence sensors interface outside. Michelle’s veins filled with adrenaline as she unstrapped the holster strap of her pistol and drew it to carefully sneak towards the door. Low and in steady position, like she had learned it so long ago on the academy.

    “Room control: Open front door”

Her voice echoed metallic through the apartment.

She saw Deputy Director Naare of Omni-Reform stand there, beaming all across her face.
    Jade’s heart skipped a beat.
What did she want? Was her smile a psychological trick? Did she know what she was going to do? How had she found out?

    “Hello there general.”

The intelligent brown eyes of the woman seemed to study every nuance of Michelle’s mimic. Searching, judging, filing.

“D-director? What gives me the honour of your visit?”

“Your modus operandi, my dear… may I come in?”

    “Of course...”

Jade replied and turned around quickly to check her desk for anything that could give her intentions away. Unfortunately, she missed the two other figures slipping in and moving past Naare. Tungh, a tall atrox, extended his telescope cudgel with a snap and struck Michelle to the back of her knees.
She collapsed with a suffocated yelp. The atrox sat with his full weight onto her chest and grinned at her. Checie, a solitus with chestnut coloured hair, prepared a stim kit and put it onto Jade’s neck, above her carotid artery, evading the helpless waving of her victim’s arms.

The group of clanners join together next to a large temple in a snowy landscape. Everyone is waiting anctiously to enter the temple and engage in battle so they talk about anything to drive away the adrenaline rush within. Legaron stands at the edge of a cliff and overlooks the besnowed upon fields with a faint smile on his face. With the tip of his fingers he holds the side of the special glaces covering his eyes wich ergo had given him. He closes his eyes and takes the sunglaces off. As he opens his eyes all of that he sees becomes lit up. It's like the most beautifull sight he has ever seen in his lifetime. If only the world would be as how I see it now. Lit up...no shadows or darkness...only pure light...
His eyes slowly start burning and he feels a stinging cold covering his face. The tears from his eyes freeze and drop to the ground like small diamonds.
Someone shakes him awake from his thoughts and yells "Hey man, you want to go blind or something? Put those glaces back on dude and come to the team I think we're about ready to go in."
Legaron squeels his eyes together and puts the glaces back to place on his nose. The burning sensation of his eyes fade with every burst of aura that flows into his veins.
They enter the building and fight their battle, and when the havoc has ended and they return outside Legaron takes a long deep breath. He inhales the air through his nose and lets it just as slowly. "I don't know what makes me wanna puke more, the smell in that place or Vanyas breath." He comments to the enlightened martial artist next to him who laughs at his remark.
His mind shifts as a beam of light coming directly from the source hitting his braincells from through his eyes. His eyes lit up a white glow that disapears in a matter of seconds. He shakes his head and looks at the short man in front of him.
"You keepers are way way out there man." The man says to him.
"I felt...A weight has been lifted of my shoulders, while another weight has been added in its place. No rest for the wicked. None for me anyhow."
The opifex stares at him in confusion for a moment and replies "Yeah...whatever...I have to bounce man, I'll see you around."
    "Yeah, thanks for the help."

Legaron sits down in the snow and orders Lega-comm to run through the grid-feed. He downloads the information straight into his brain symbiant and smirks.

"The clan The Assembly is spoken free of all charges of sabotage in the Wailing Wastes oil spill case. However, the proclaiming of bounties on Omni-Tek personnel results in a zero-tolerance policy on our behalf. There will be no rest for the wicked."

If they wouldn't have charged us for sabotage we wouldn't have set out a bounty in the first place...No rest...none...

    (( posting not as Dookumi))

Avalon rested her great bulk, hovering lightly in zero-gravity. No one paid her much attention. She was always just there - doing transport runs and scanning for terra-forming data.

Data she had to get to the girl. "Where are you Seleena?" she fretted silently. She'd be pacing if she had a body to do it with, instead she allocated a rarely used sensor bank to scan the planet's surface for the girl.

Rubi-Ka...dry, dead and at war...this was the planet that changed her life once already.

Far below her a storm raged.

    Memo

Sirs, I have researched the extent of pollution in the Wailing Wastes Area as ordered.
Included map shows the outline of the NEAMO sludge.
Traces of contamination are also spread around the sludge area. As you can see there is no imminent danger for the lavastreams to ignite the sludge,
there is however danger that the sludge might reach the subsidiary to the Stret River which might, long term, endanger Omni HQ and to a lesser extent Omni-1 Entertainment and Omni-1 Trade.

    [Removed classified -Secret-]
If this threat becomes real it is advisable to ignite the sludge.
Strat-Eval bot reports: "Possible damage of Omni-2 is outweighed by the strategic possibilties of a burning upper river."

One good approach point to the sludge is fixergrid 3, secondary approch point could be whompa at Duhndur, through Camelot but a few guards will need persuasion to pose no threat to our people. This will not be a problem.
The following bases are currently in operation, with Strat-Eval report

North of Yuttos, Clan base, no threat, no strategic value
West of Perdition Clan base, no threat, no strategic value
Charred Groove Omni base, confirmed friendly organisation
Powdered Dunes Clan base, minor threat, considerable strategic value
Between the Craters Clan base, confirmed threat, minor strategic value
Styx Magma Clan base, confirmed threat, high strategic value
