G´day fellow engineers of Rubi-Ka.

I have mixed feelings today. i feel i want to cancel my account.
yet i feel i have spent to much time into characters to just quit.
I also fell i want to give funcom "ONE" more chance att giving engineers a break. 13.0 should have been that last chance... then i also feel that all the extra memory i spent.. the new G-eforce, the 19" monitor i bought to play this game.. is a good excuse to atleast wait one patch more.

storyline:

After carefull consideration, and having read throug all kinds of bulletinboards and guides and information i created my character.
Profession engineer.

I imediatly noticed... i have only 3 types of nano.
Shields, Screens, pet´s.
perhaps this is just in the Outpost stores i though.
So i whompa´d to Athens and prowled all stores on shopping street.
Neh.. nada.

I fought my way up lvl ladder and got to the second step.
lvl20 oooh bloody h**l.
I had big problems getting a team. i kissed ass to get a team by
randomly throwing a +66 all ac buff on everyone i saw.
If i was lucky people took me upp just to fill the last spot.

Then salvation. 2 close friends joined in. we 3 teamed 80% of the time and i raised to lvl 49 in notime.

then i read the upcoming 13.0 patch info.
there actually were 2 points. 1. a really techie teleportation nano
2. Some new nanos and some debuffs.

well well.. weee
I celebrated by buying a pizza and a icy cold beer.
So patchday is up. when getting the patch i browsed through info.

now.. dear friends only the debuff and new nanos point were left.
Our longed teleportation nano was deleted.

I casted out into the void a long line of insults on the Funcom crew and their offspring.. something about their offspring getting tails i think.

What the heck.. lets try it out.
it loaded, no sign of graphics lag no faster zoning... server crashed every single minute.
Butt hell i wanted to see those new nanos.

So i whompa´d to athens. all stores, NO sign of any new nanos.

Fight MODE.

I went out to kill some greens ( all i can kill ).
QL50 gladiator online....
QL38 vektor ND online... kissed ass and got a critbuff.

/pet attack ( Rhinoman smasher )

Well my pet hit pretty badly i actually outshoot my own pet. with a ql38 vektor ND.


HENCE MY DISSAPOINTMENT.

Conclusion:

What has been done for engineers in a decade?
Not a bloody thing. except for making them walk a little better in missions.
They even made our pets weaker, even on their way limiting them by NCU memorys.
We still doesnt have any mastery buff or specialist buff.
We have nothing.
We are left as the gimp whith a whimpy pet and a soldering iron sticking out our back pocket.
Our tradeskills are an excuse. our prescense unwanted, our buffs never asked for.
All we do.. other classes can do better. We have no unique thing we can do.. or anything.

Why do i bother.. no funcom employee will read this and answer.

No excuses from funcom for tricking us to waste our time with the engineer by telling us that enginner is on the "chopping log".

It is not, atleast we havent seen any result from that chopping log.

first of all teleports were not deleted mearly delayed as a broken nano is a useless nano, secondly if you are using a pet one level above you you will have BIG trouble, get some implants and use general buffs, I had your bot at level 37, get ql 50 implants at least but preferably at your level do ql 75

I was lv49 two weeks ago and i had no problem fighting yellow mob. lv50 pet and ql38 gun, hmm, this is not right. I was using ql73 vector and ql58 bot at your lvl. I dont think you can get any higher since they fixed treatment bug. However still you can equipp ql70 implant which allow you have orangel pet at lv49.
What i can suggest is dont spend too many time on hunting. Do some missions!!! engy are expensive profession.

Ok, the teleportation was it broken?
Where have u dug up that data?

I have not been able to find an explanation.

I had my QL50 bot at lvl 36-37 too then it was .. good.
But since continously buying implants since i have reached my max at raising MC and T&S and BioM.

I have spent money and have boygh 1 shining QL70 T&S imp. and bright, faded MC QL70.

But since i need 300+ in nanoprogramming and nice NT to buff me it is hard.
And i need 337 in treatment i have 200 now and it is maxed. +100 in surgery clinic +20 in expertise.

I need to get past lvl50 to be able to increase those skills. thus perhaps at lvl52 i can get me a QL63 bot.

According to my rough calculations.

And on the expensive profession part you are right. But since the pathing problems bit in missions. i have had to go on solo hunts, or teaming to get my cash.

and another question:

how is that possible. i am at 200 now in shotgun +70 with all my shotgun clusters. and +20 with my expertise buff.

That allows me to use a QL53 gun aprox. According to my calculations.
At a price around 80K.

So lets go on... have anyone seen our debuffs? i havent seen any.

Our tradeskills elect eng and mech engi.. have any1 had use of it?

Medclothing boosts your treatment skill about another 70pts if I am not mistaken.
I've read some peices are broken and do not boost the treatment, but hey what else is new? Its not like something ever works in AO as it should is there?

Actually just to let you know I have seen two of the new engineer nanos, both offered as mission rewards.

One was the cheap party buff line

The second was more interesting and was a debuff that you cast on your robot that cause opponents to be blinded or something. So it would seem our debuffs work through our pets(?)

The bad news is I got neither (hence the above info so sketchy)
as one was offered on a broken mission and the other involved travelling to a location surrounded by aggro red mobs and after 2 hours of running and dodging and 3 deaths I couldnt be bothered.

But yes there are some available through missions and pot luck it seems

I think only good team nano is +AC buff and maybe that blind buff (don't have that one yet, so i can't figure it out how it really works). Team Cocoon is kinda lame (all it does is increase my Max dmg reflected back, not the ability to reflect dmg), dmg shield debuff sux, + dmg team buff is kinda good, but it'd rather stick with +ac buff.

I'd suggest to devs to stop messing with our nanos and give us the damn tradeskills already! Someday i want to say "OMG, i got a lvl from making guns!". We'r like agent's without Aim Shot or Soldiers without burst.

I was told by devs that you can't make popular weapons with tradeskills ....I really wanted to wake up, but unfortunatelly it wasn't a dream.

well let me explain to you how i can equipe those things. i max ini, shotgun, mc, ts np. Also i max sta and agi since mc and ts depend on them although only 20%. I use eye and right hand implants for mc nanocluster and head for ts. Usually i only use leg and waist implant for shotgun nanocluster but when i need equipe new gun i wil take ms right hand off and swtich to one for shotgun. I dont remember excatly now but i think your treatment skill shouldnt cap at 200 at lv50 cap. But anyway there are other ways to go around. you can find a doc with 30 treatment buff and try to buy a omni med coat from omni which can add more than 50 treatment skills. In case of shotgun you might not have enough shotgun for ql70 vector by yourself. but there are traders out there who have +85 skill wrangler. all you need is find one and ask him cast it on you when i need eqiupment new gun. However it might cost you. Those traders are greedy.

seriously dood, I remember that. When you couldn't get awesome buffs from high lvl players because THERE WEREN'T ANY. You missioned for everything and barely scraped by. A million credits was a lot of cash. These days noobs get gifted a million creds because someone feels sorry for them
