Thread: Custom sounds

    Question Custom sounds

As I was running AO Duplicator I noticed it copying wavs. It looks like those are sounds mobs make, sound of guns fired and the like.
Now I wonder, does game check those files before start or can I make leets say something else by replacing appropriate file?

I muted the rats by removing the sound files for em =)

One certain way to find out: Just remember to back up your files before you try.

Slayerbots saying stuff like "I'll be back" would be cool!
..wait.. don't they say that allready?
Perhaps changing leets to say (in your own voice) "kill me! kill me!"

    ..lots of possibilities!

    Works just fine .

Two interesting things I noticed. Only rollerrats have three dying sounds and you won't find leets' folder. They do have sounds there but to find out where, follow Emiko's thread on Rubi-Ka creatures

Anyway, format is IMA ADPCM (or at least that's the name CoolEdit uses), it's 22kHz, 4 bit mono

Oh yeah, works even while you're running the game, you can't change the number of sounds for particullar event and game won't crash if you miss the wav format.

    Enjoy!
