How the AI and pre-order keys work

There are two registration keys associated with Alien Invasion:

1. The actual AI key.
- This key is found in the actual AI box (*). When registered on your account it will be listed as "Alien Invasion" in your key list. This key is what grants you access to special XP from aliens, new perks, the ability to buy/build cities (if you're an org leader), etc.

2. The pre-order bonus key.
- Most retailers deliver this key by e-mail, either when they confirm your order, or when they ship it to you. Some have chosen to send it with the box. If you're wondering which option your retailer uses, please check with them. When registered on your account it will be listed as "Alien Invasion pre-order bonus" (it used to lack the "bonus" word) in your key list. This key gives you access to the new pet leets, and nothing else.

There is no harm in registering both keys separate (in any order) or together at any time, whether you have installed from the AI CD or not and whether you have patched or not.
