Yes, that was an excellent event. Probably the most enjoyable time I've had in AO so far. Thanks goes out to Commander Windguaerd of the Mercury Dragons and Commander Silvathorn of Mercury Dragons - Wraithguard, and of course everybody else that participated. I do not remember your names, for that I am sorry. Everybody did a great job in this event.

It was the weekly GoS (Gathering of Souls) meeting. This time it was also a fundraiser, trying to raise money to rebuild some parts of Athen. So far they have raised around 250 million of the 700 million needed. It was also a gathering to show Omnis that clans is more than just fighting rebels. I really enjoyed the march through the different clan cities, thank you everybody!

PS: Was quite fun crashing West Athen zone because we were too many on the bridge.

Luckily I zoned out of WA before the server went down, but I have to comment on the game design and server capacity/bandwidth that doesn't allow 50+ players to congregate in the same space without falling on its face.

Every event I have *tried* to attend, be it GM or player run, has ended in an impromptu dump back to the log-in screen. How can you have a story or any large scale player interaction when you have to contend with this stuff?

Sorry for the rant, from what I seen it was a fun event.

Thank you one and all for your donations. I have been asked what will become of these funds and that they are not going to anyone to fat their pockets and if this is a scam.

From me personally, I truly hope that Funcom will see that we are sincere to this cause and will attempt to provide changes to Old Athens as they did in Tir.

As far as any funds I am receiving, I promise each and everyone that entrusted me, that it WILL go to Devrel at the next meeting. Let Devrel keep a running tab on how much has been turned in. Good faith money as the old world contracts used to read. This way, he can get his people lined up for the upcoming work ahead.

I am not 100% certain that we will see any changes to Old Athens in the immediate future but I do feel in my heart that we will see changes in the future with upcoming patches.
