I know this sounds kinda EQish but I really like the idea of certain people having special abilities. I think maybe every 50 levels or so you could pick ones skill (maybe get more points at higher level) to personalize your characters. I think some abilities should cost more.... Heres a rundown of some of the abilities I was thinking.
Adventurer:
-Cloudy Day: Cast outdoor only nanos indoors
-Blade Frenzy: Buff all initiavies for a large extent
-Claws of the Lizard: Buff all multi-wield skills to a large extent
Agent:
-Cloak Of Shadows: +500 Concealment
-Shoot to kill: Chance to score critical AS much higher
-Enchanced NCU Recoder(perma): All FP drawbacks decreased by 50%
Burecrat:
-Neutrality(permanent): Can travel to any Clan/Omni/Neutral area and not gain aggro. (this probably wont work too well)
-Personal Bodyguard: Bots will weild weapons handed to them
Doctor:
-Crunchcom Repairman: All healing spells dropped to 1/1
-Increased Output: Heals heal 25% more
Enforcer:
-Steroid Boost: All Offensive abilities, and health are doubled
-Brave Challenger to Mongo: Like the other challengers but much more uber (Could be an interesting quest into the backstory of mongo)
Engineer:
-Enhanced Robotics: All skills pertaining to robots are much higher
-Master Smith: All trade skills gain a significant boost
Fixer:
-Blitzkreig: The fixer gains 1000 Run Speed and double health but dies in one hour. Always loses some xp
-Wrath of the Chaingun: MG/SMG and range initives skyrocket for a short period.
MA:
-Berserker: The MAs power skyrockets for a period of time but then will be severely hampered for a while
