Thread: So what's your opinion: is Parry worth the IP?

Arrow So what's your opinion: is Parry worth the IP?

I'm considering doing the IP reset and I'm not sure I want to dedicate any IP to Parry whatsoever. I mean, I rarely (if ever) actually ever Parry a mob's attack and those Parry shields don't do a heck of a lot of good considering they last for like 5 seconds.

So, what's your opinion? Ever spend IP in Parry and have decent results?

It certainly seems to work well for the MOBS.

The only people I know of that use it raised the skill just for Blessed with Thunder. Since they raised the skill anyway, they then proceed to try out the deflection shields with some success (mostly to add chem AC). But if you're not fighting MA style, then no, it's probably not worth it.
Heals - they're not just for tradeskills anymore
Hypos omni doc RK2 <-- stupid enough to have thought that going past level 150 would help her be a better doc
Phlair omni mp RK2 solo char
Nerfbat omni enf RK2 awarded the hammer of braveness

Red face I's not worth it...

It's only usefull for ma's that needs BwT.
Unless you dont use it, put the ip's somewhere else, like nano skills and abileties

    lol.

well 650 parry skill. on a 145 lvl enforcer fighting a 50 lvl claw. Results where as follows. Full Defensive not swinging back. 500 Evades. 4500 AC's roughly.

    Out of 100 attempted hits:
    All min damage (duh)
    11 Parries.

    You decide.

    Follow up:

    Thank god for IPR!

On a serious note though, my enforcer has never parried a player in PvP.

Well, no doubt about it. I went with zero IP invested in Parry and ran a mission. I noticed absolutely no difference in combat lethality of mobs, they hit me just as often.

Yay for skills that are broken. :|
