Old Athen (IRRK) -- On May 26th, the Whompa and Mission Terminal area of Old Athen Hill was viciously attacked by a squad of well armed Dust Brigade soldiers.

Although a large number of Clan members responded, the fight was small and lasted only twenty minutes. The attackers then retreated into the Whompas, and presumably to a grid point. The general consensus from the many Clan combatants that were interviewed was an overwhelming victory for the Clans.

However, that may not be the case. Of the 6 or so Dust Brigade troopers, none fell during the engagement. Yet at least 10-15 Clan members were sent to reclaim. It did not appear to have been the Dust Brigade's intent to kill the entire crowd. Instead, it seemed as though they were only trying to galvanize a reaction. It was reported that these troopers chanted a mantra of "you are not ready," and "you are unprepared for what awaits you."

This is the second attack of Old Athen Hill by the Dust Brigade in two months. It is another in a long string of Dust Brigade attacks on points around Rubi-Ka.

The Hill on Old Athen is a well known gathering place for low and mid level Clanners for social and organizational gathering, as well as a mission grouping center and a seller's paradise. What the Hill is NOT is a place that could likely deal heavily with a Dust Brigade attack, which is why they hit there. The Dust Brigade troopers are very well equipped, very well armed, very well coordinated and give the highest level of Clan troops pause. No, what they accomplished is that they proved to us that they are just standard terrorists. Nothing new here, folks. They are the rank-and-file hatemongers that like headlines but do nothing of significance.

No, all they do is hit from the shadows, take out a few guards, and then whatever bystanders happen to be in the area, and then boom, they take off. They aren't there long enough to TAKE casualties before they dust a couple of lower level people. They are the usual terrorist coward, so I'm not at all impressed with them.

Like most terrorists, they fall into the same pattern. There is nothing special about them. No, even if we never root them out, they cannot continue their current tactics forever. They have a goal in mind, and once they show their hideous faces for what and who they are and what their agenda is, then we'll all deal with them once and for all.

Until then, sing your little paeans to the Dust Brigade, IRRK. You only give them what they want, which is publicity for their pointless forays into our collective subconscious and our cities.

Yes. Very typical tactics of them actually.
It doesnt matter how many times we beat them back. They will continue to show up when we least expect it. The only way, as I see it, to really stop them is to find out where theyre real hideout is and take the fight to theyre home. When we let them feel the pressure they wont have time to attack us anymore.
