Face blocks under Nicknames?

Its been about a year since ive been back to AO and AO Stratics... This may be a stupid question but im gunna ask it anyway... HOW do u create those face/head pictures on the side in the threads? I know about screenshots and such so it has to be something different!!

Click on the blue user cp button in the upper right hand corner.

Click on the Edit Options tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see the Avatar section.
