    Lightbulb history of the nerf bat.

    Well lets take a trip back to the begining of AO (after release)

    To my knowledge this how the nerf bat swag it mighty nerfness onto many prof's

    1st it was the fixers their maussers did godly damage
    (hit hard and still havent recovered)

    2nd soldiers alpha strikes would mow anyone/anything down in secs
    (slaped silly with tha bat doing ok but still has a hard time getting on thier feet)

    3rd agents aimshot/concel they could AS for 10k and sneak threw missions with ease
    (smacked down and funcom is trying to make up for that in 14.2)

    4th NT range nerf
    (only happened because of some players useing it as a exploit)

    5th everybody nerf
    (damage cap was added to pvp, it hurt all non healing classes)

    6th NT stun nerf
    (needed to happen but as to date has the fastest nerf record)

    7th engi OE bot nerf
    (on its way but felt I should add it)

    8th who is next?
    (traders?)


    If you think I missed anyone post reply and I will edit. I started this thread just to see how the nerf bat has touched us all, and who it hasn't touched.

    HAHA!

    There are alot more nerfs, remember the 48hr Stun nerf? It had to be done though. There are a lot more nerfs, recent nerf of GA, Crits nerfs. I think we need a nanomage nerf, their body Dev is great!(joking!).

    Nerf Weapon Range (One of the most awful things ever to happen to the game)
    Nerf Weapon Recharge Rate/Effect of Ranged Init. (Yeah, recharge used to be affected more than it is now)
    Nerf Nanoformula Range (Just plain stupid not to fix the monsters rather than nerfing the players)
    Nerf FA 3297 (I still got a bunch. They aren't THAT good)
    Nerf Carrier Crafts (Well, if the gazillion database bytes that are wasted on item weight ever mattered this might have been used for a legitemate purpose. Now that OE rules are coming, please bring it back and make weight matter)
    Nerf the Story (Just stopped dead cold. Dead. Dead. Dead.)
    Nerf Implants (Stepping gone)
    Nerf 'Over-equipping' (Screw you FunCom for making the game less interesting)
    Nerf Team Heals to LOS only (Can't even heal over a table anymore)

    Nerf LLTS? This been confirmed?

    yes but you forgot the 14.2 nerf which means engie bots cannot hold any aggro anymore meaning more and more dead engies. As well as the fact on engie bots you can no longer refresh the buffs on your bot until they expire completely. You can cast and recast all you want but if there was still time on the last buff the timer doesn't get reset. First one is a total complete pain in the ass and the second is just plain anonying.

    As for the 14.2OE patch it will definately hit engies and agents the hardest.

    Alot has already been covered here, but you forgot the Da Taunter! nerf, which mad this nice Enf. item useless in PvP, will now only hit npcs and monsters. This nerf hit my Enf. hard, having spent alot of IP to euip a Taunter that could actually hit consistently for almost as much as an average slice with my Protector.... and with good range.
