"Genesis Technology announces formal investigation into missing data and equipment"
Today Davis "Marcai" Ramagano announced that a formal investigation will be held due to the recent break in the Genesis Technology headquarters in the heart of Omni-Entertainment.
On January 5 at 3:00 AM (Rubika Universal Time) the security alarms blared at a research building in Omni-1, Entertainment District. It was a breakin at the Genesis Technology building, home to several trillion credits worth of equipment and research. The small security team on the night shift was found dead and the steel re-enforced door had been blasted down with a massive explosion of unknown origin. The century auto-gun system failed to activate due to a major hacking attempt through a vulnerable grid-net outlet.
Omni-Pol eventually arrived, but the invaders had already taken what they had come to retrieve and vanished. The primary secuirty system offered little help in finding out the assailents, the hacker had deleted most security protocols and files, leaving nothing but a five seconds clip of the explosion in continuous repeate. After a quick scan, Omni-Pol deducted that this was not just a simple break in, but a terrorist act by one of the clans. It was noted that the theifs stole over 1 billion credits worth of data, estimated to be five hundred teriquads, several pieces of nano programing equpiment, and a prototype poject previously unannounced.
Omni-Pol made only one formal statment about the theift saying "The matter is being looked into and will be taken care of accordingly to Omni-Tek laws." But this did not stop Ramagano, he announed that a formal investigation would be held to look into possible security leaks and patch up any other possible threats to Gen-Tek interests. "Security is our number one concern" stated Ramgano at the press conference with his investers "We will find these theifs and bring them to justice! No one will ever dare challenge Genesis Technology security again, that is why today I propose a massive military budget advance to create the Gen-Tek defense force! With this new defense in place, Gen-Tek can prosper without fear of interruptions and theif. Please give me your vote and this will bring about the future of a better company!" The vote was passed with overwhelming support from the investers.
