Macro questions

In a macro I would like to

1) Turn on auto attack

2) target a player by name ( ie /target Maem )

Anyone know how to do these?

Sigh. This is one area that EQ outshines AO I am afraid. I play a hydra there and it is much easier to setup.

Ok Funcom why not give us these simple tools? I can /assist <anme> easily I just can not target.

I use the /target to set up a follow. /follow pathing is broken enough that I have to do this frequently. Would be much easier.

Eq lets you auto attack on assist. Very nice. Not exploitable so why not let AO players do it too?

You can sort of do it, just kinda backwards

create an assist key: /macro assist /assist %t

1) target the person you want to assist (from the team list if they are out pulling)
2) when you want to attack, press the assist key
3) press Q (attack)

I know many people already use this but I posted it in case anyone wasn't aware of it.

I do not need help with /assist.

I want to target a team member and also be able to auto attack from a macro.

Funcom why can we not do this?
