--Aftermath of the Attack--

Today at 12:30pm, Pacific Standard Time, the first blood of the war between the Clan Organization "Archetype" and "Tepesz Enterprises" was spilled in a tragic terrorist attack.
Reports suggest an assassin, a brainwashed little girl, was sent to assassinate Brendan "Killchain" Nygaard during a news interview with IRRK news staff. Also, one of the reporters revealed their true purpose: a suicide bomber. Nygaard was not killed in the blast, but six passersby were, including the brainwashed child who was too young for the insurance system of Reclaim.
I caught up with Nygaard in Hope as he was speaking to his War Minister, Zundae. I had a chance to interview him about the whole incident.
(Note: R indicates me, your humble Independent Reporter, and K refers to Mr. Nygaard, who's callsign is "Killchain.")

R: What happened today in Borealis, Mr. Nygaard?
--
K: It's simple, isn't it? It was an obvious attempt at terrorizing us into submission.
--
R: Did it work?
--
K: Absolutely not. It only strengthens our resolve. This incident today shows the people of Rubi-Ka that Midia is murderous and also guilty of war crimes. An innocent, sane person would have submitted to the Tribunal knowing they would be found innocent. This should be an obvious red flag to anyone involved that Ms. Tepesz is guilty.
--
R: Mr. Nygaard, some people see this as an act of retaliation for your declaration of war. Your thoughts?
--
K: Of course it is. However, a real leader of a noble force would have sent a platoon to neutralize me, not a brainwashed child. Monsters send children to kill men they are too scared to face.
--
R: There are reports of the second reporter saying that you must leave Borealis, or face more terrorist attacks. What are your plans after receiving this information?
--
K: That is classified.
--
R: I see. Aren't you worried about the safety of the populace, now that the war you've declared has escalated?
--
K: Of course I am. I never intended the war to injure and murder innocents. And I still stand by my peaceful resolution. Valentia "Midia" Tepesz, your surrender decree still stands; surrender peacefully, and no harm will come to you. You will be escorted to a holding cell where you will wait out your tribunal, and be tried by your peers from all sides... Neutral, Omni-Tek, and Clan.
--
R: So it is safe to say you would like to see a peaceful resolution to your own war?
--
K: I think everyone except Midia herself would like to see a peaceful ending to this conflict.
--
R: Some say you started this war on a whim. Your response?
--
K: It is common knowledge that Midia has on numerous occasions assaulted the gates of Tir with Medusae. She has assaulted Borealis as well, and Rome. She was also involved and is still involved in actions that affect every single person on Rubi-Ka. She is a warmongering, powerhungry fool who must be stopped.
--
R: You said she's involved in actions right now that affect all of Rubi-Ka? What are these actions?
--
K: That is classified.
--
R: I see. I must ask, Mr. Nygaard, however do you see to win with the very looming possibility of the ICC stepping in?
--
K: That is classified.
--
R: ...I... see. Have you any supporters, other factions that rally with you on this cause? Do you have support of the Clans?
--
K: I will not drag the Clans into this by claiming that they support me, nor will I name any organizations. However, I know this: Midia must be stopped. If Archetype has to do it alone, so be it. We will stop her or die trying.
--
R: One more question, Mr. Nygaard. The IRRK News Network was hacked this morning, and it seems just to deliver a special message for you and your outfit. Your thoughts?
--
K: She made it public knowledge that she accepted my declaration of war. In effect, she did not counsel with me or even attempt to resolve peacefully. In my eyes, this is guilt, plain and simple.
--
R: Thank you for your insight, Mr. Nygaard.
--
Shortly after this interview, Mr. Nygaard had to depart for an urgent problem that demanded his attention. I was escorted out of their base of operations by two young soldiers, which I was asked to keep confidential.
