Fire In The Hole

It grew strong and bright, the matchstick head lit up his grinning face, pale, pure, eyes flowing over of hatred.

"Burning, burning, burning."

The match flew gently and slowly in the air, a moment of silence, satisfaction, fullfillment, oh if only it would have lasted forever, and it seemed to. The match was as if in slow motion, burning slowly and less bright in the air - before hitting the oil.

"Burning, racing, blue bright burns."

It danced forward like ballet, with a sound of intense fire feed. He took a step back, still grinning his smile, gritting his teeth, holding back his laugh, snorting through the nose.

"Burny burn burns, race race burny blue bright burns."

The area was completely lit up, the woodwork burnt like a candle on christmas, the screams from inside amused his spirit and soul. The door barricaded, the windows began to melt in the heat.

"Burn baby burn, baby baby bright blue eyes."

No satisfaction could be greater than this for him, screams of torment and death, bringing laughter and tears into his eyes.

"Need a little room baby? Bright blue burning eyes baby? I'm not good enough for you baby? I'm not sane baby?"

The house finally crashes together, no sounds but from the burning woodwork. He walks over, kicking planks over.

"Where are you baby? Mickeh's home'gain. Ain't ya there?"

He laughs at the ashpit near the wall.

"Hey baby, ya can't stand tha heat eyh?"

From his belt he takes out a letter and lays it on the ashes.

"Ashes ta ashes baby, and ya ain't goin' now'here now."

Walking into the dark, a short click comes from his direction, and a small ball flies into the wrecks of the building.

"Dust ta dust baby, Mickeh's back'n town."

The grenade explodes, leaving nothing but a bright nightsky.
