Omni-Pol Officers Ball a Success

Atlantean- Omni-Pol hosted their Officers Ball Saturday at the Baboons Nightclub in Omni-1 Entertainment. All factions came together for a mostly peaceful night of drinking, dancing, and contests that paid out over 80 million credits.
Security was out in force for the gathering with Omni-Pol Robo-Bouncers- specially programmed Slayerdroids- ensuring weapons were kept out of the club and the hands of would be troublemakers. Considering the multi faction attendance of the celebration, there were comparatively few violent incidents.
The ball, organized by Corporal Sasia, was a smashing success. The Omni-Pol officers were out in their full dress white uniforms, and their appearance was only rivaled by the women in their stunning evening gowns. Appearances were made from Avatars, Starlight, Silent Night, and Valor Eternal to name just a few who turned out for the fun and prizes.
Tarryk of Gridstream Productions was the guest DJ for this event, and in addition to the millions of credits given away on the air many millions more were given away during in house events. They included a knowledge quiz, poetry reading, and a dance contest. Among the winners was Girashakira who won 10 million credits in the dance contest and Nashka who won 10 million credits in the poetry reading.
As the night drew on, it became clear that when Omni-Pol is not out protecting the peace they very much enjoy letting loose. As Issavinde became drunk he could be heard shouting that “…the funky chicken is the most EROTIC DANCE EVER!” clearly showing his intoxication. On a few occasions, the partygoers had to be reminded to “please refrain from killing the civilians” by Qplatinum.
Although a few brought their political views with them to the function, it was a very successful and mostly peaceful evening for all. Many citizens won prizes and walked away financially better off from the events, and everyone had a good time dancing and listening to good music.
