Love Kills(Another Angel)
New short poem by Engelen! (Something to still the interested while I`m pondering on the next big one. While it may not be directly connected to any events or characters, I still felt it very naturally in the world our toons live in)
She ran out the door with tears in her eyes
Back inside sat her boyfriend with a lover in his bed
All this time, all this love had just been lies
Her heart broke down and she wished she was dead
Out on the streets in Trade and down to the grid
The rain was falling like the angels were crying
She would never forget what he did
and deep inside she started dying
People ran for shelter while she ran away
She activated the grid with a shaking hand
Nobody was left to make her stay
Nobody would care or understand
She came to Lush Resort and passed the crowd
The guards came rushing to calm them down
But the people started shouting nervous and loud
As she woke up the little Omni Town
She climbed up on the lift and rode it to top
stepped on the ledge and whispered goodbye
The crowd gathered below and shouted Stop
But she couldnt live like this, she had to die
"Wait! Stop! DONT DO IT!" The guards cried
as they ran towards the ledge she stood
It didnt matter, she had already died
The second she finally understood
She closed her eyes and took a breath
Stepped backward until she fell to the concrete
It wasnt the fall that was her death
It was he who stopped her heartbeat
Omni-Pol never solved the case
Omni-Med sorrowed over the young dead girl
That the heartbroken girl was in a much better place
Than this heartless brutal world
