Looking for RK2 Guild Advice Please

My wife, friends and I are possibly looking to join a good guild on RK2. We prefer one that actully acts like a guild and does stuff together, as opposed to a group of folks that just share a tag. Anyone have any recomendations on what guilds might be worth taking a look at and are still active?

Our playstyle is sort of odd, I suppose we could be catagorized as casual powergamers that enjoy to roleplay if the situation presents itself. Basically we just enjoy online games, are mature and have pretty decent playing skills. We are hoping that a guild can help expand our view of the AO world and get us more involved in what may be going on around us.

Hey there. I think you can find exactly what you may be looking for at www.projectrevenant.com

Project Revenant has both a clan and Omni side, and makes efforts to create and run player-created events.

Both Clan Vox Populi and Division 3: Omni Reclamation have players from around the world, so at any time, you are sure to find someone on.

Hope to see you in game soon.

Was looking at your guild and do enjoy roleplaying to an extent, exactly how stringient are your rules on the RPing though? So you know, we do not talk sports, news, weather, etc online anyways, all our conversation generally centers around the game we are playing, it just isn't "in-character" always. Also, how active is your guild with hunts, grouping together, helping each other out(with camps if needed), etc... ?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but my wife joined a guild as a "trial", the guildmaster insisted she just join to check them out, well that guild does absolutely nothing, zero, zilch, zip together. I think their soul purpose is to have a extra chat channel and that is definately not what we are looking for in a guild. We like being involved, helping out and having stuff to do on a fairly regular basis.

Hello and thanks for the questions. Take note that this is for Division 3 and not Vox Populi. You will need to contact them located at our forums, for their recruitment policies.

We are a very active guild. When a new recruit becomes a cadet, they then enter our next Academy class. This consists of 3 weeks worth of different training exercises with fellow cadets to get familiar with Division 3's style of group and indivdual combat exercises.

The final week, you will get to meet with, and interview with, the General of the Department you wish to enter. If all goes well, you will graduate at your classes graduation ceremony (yes it is a guild event we do regularly) at our Division Headquarters.

As a guild, we plan raids on the various static dungeon throughout Rubi Ka. However, we always haev a story behind these raids. For example, this weekend, we are investigating the overtaking of the Longest Road Mining Facility by clan members posing as Omni employees. This is just one example of many.

We also have many social events, such as graduation parties, and parties to celebrate a new alliance with members of the newly allied organization. Of course, no armor or weapons are allowed at these, unless it is a costume contest. We try to rotate these events at the different locations and clubs throughout Rubi Ka, not just at Baboons.

As a guild, we also look out for each other. Our various departments regularly hold training classes after Academy time is finisehd, for newer citizens of Rubi Ka who might need help. Examples of classes we have held in the past include Implants 101 (to teach people who knew little or nothing about implants, everything they care to know, as well as helping them start their first set if it is a QL20 or less). We also have advanced combat classes conducted by Special Forces to help members get a better understanding of PvP combat. These are just two of many examples of post Academy classes we conduct as a guild.

We try to keep OOC chat to a minimum. We understand that there is a need sometimes for it (such as game mechanic questions or general questions about the world itself). However, we encourage conversation not intended for the entire guild or large numbers of it's members to be taken to a privaet channel. We try to keep all non-AO OOC chat off teh guild channel. As we will soon approach 100 members, it is important that this channel isn't spammed, so Division members know when an important message is being sent out.

If this sounds like something that interest you, go to our forums at www.projectrevenant.com and register. You should then find the Academy Forum, locate the sticky post at the top titled "Application for the Academy", and fill out an application as a reply. All rules regarding sponsorship and recommendations can be found there. Once your application has been reviewed, and if it is accepted, you will be added to the Division roster as a recruit. Once you find a sponsor and acquire 2 recommendations, you will then be /org invited and updated from a recruit to a cadet. You begin the next scheduled Academy class after this (next one scheduled for Apr. 20).

Hope to see you planetside soon. If you haev furthe questions, feel free to contact me at mbrock3200@aol.com.
