This was discussed in the fixer forum a while ago. We decided "Soccer" should be called football, as it is played with a ball, and you use your feet. "American Football" is mostly played with your hands, and uses a ball shapped by an Egg, so it should be renamed "Handegg". If I could find the original thread, or who came up with this argument, I would post it.
