Ashkel reeled as the Visions faded away and reality as it was reasserted itself. Rubi-Ka was the original home of humans... Or, actually the world that Rubi-Ka was 1/2 of. He was dizzy from all that the vision had revealed showing the rise of civilization and the subsequent split and war. He wondered, why him? He was certain that the Source was the origin of the Visions and that Ergo was at least one of the source messengers. The Vision also went a long ways to explaining why Omni-Tek was the way that it was and wondered if Ross was just an agent of the Unredeemed. He regreted his choice to leave neutrals behind and join the corporation but was rather frightened at the implications. It was quite plain to him where mankind's images of Demons and Angels had arrisen. The question was, what could be done about it? He knew to the core of his being that there was no way he could ever support the Unredeemed and so the advantages of the corporation dimmed rapidly in light of the pain the unredeemed repressented.

He would let his daughter and other family make their own choices, he couldn't do that for them. As much as he loved his children he would at least give them free choice.

At least He knew now why he was so drawn to Rubi-Ka from his origins back on old Earth which he now knew to have been a colony of humans established by the Redeemed but influenced by both sides all through its history. He knew now why he had been called and that this was his true home, his blood had called him too if not his yearning spirit. His only hope was to help save the planet as best as he could, the question now was to figure out who his true allies really were...

Only time would tell..

He could only conclude that if the planet was destroyed in the thirsts of the Unredeemed the planet and perhaps all mankind could perish.
