New meeting place in 20k

Just an idea,

Some players that I know do not like to Whompa from Trade to 20k because they find that they disconnect from the game.

In 20k on Rubi-Ka 1 all the players looking for teams seem to pile up in one area; around the mission booths and save terminal. My computer halts for a while, then I see the players load up and there may be a good 20 or 30 players in such a small area.

Now nearby is a shop. Inside this shop is a larger area called the Bar.

Wouldnt it be great if players started to use the bar to find teams, socialise, advertise their abilities for tips and chat. Not being technically minded about computers, surely this enclosed area with a larger space to congregate would create less strain on peoples computers? Also it means that shoppers can still shop in low lag conditions, as the bars seem to pop up as you enter the door.

This would be fair to players around level 55-110 with not so great connections or computers to have a chance at increasing their levels?

I have seen people complain about Funcom not making 20k easier, but perhaps this is the solution, that we change our meeting spot, then the area doesnt get adjusted to have lower hunting spots to make 20k less popular.

From now on, if I want a team, I will look in the bar first. I hope you do to!

That's a good meeting spot. It's also close to the Save at the outpost....

This was said in the other thread ages ago, I agreed but many people complained about whompa access and no shop.

Shops can only hold so many people ( not sure how many, but its a low #) after that the game start making new shops and putting people into that. Eg) if 30 people run into an empty shop, the game will probably spawn 2-3 shops to put people in more evenly. I'f you've ever tried to meet a friend in the superior east shop of omni-trade you'll know what i mean.

Now lets say a shop can only hold 15 people. Say just 5 are acualy there shopping. What chances do i have at finding a full group of 6 in the shop, when it can take upto an hour to get one outside where 100+ people can be at peak times (trust me, i've counted). chances are i'll be sitting in that shop for a LONG time LFG.

If i was selling something, the best way is to let the max # of people know in min amount of time. So why spam to a small group instead when I can do it just once to all those people ( im not saying I do, I am just writing this post in first person.)

FC should make a Whompa or Grid in Milkey way so we could do missions there more easy. People are to lazy(yes me too) so they do them in PM and the whole zone lag like hell.

I thnk they should just move the Whom-Pah to the other side of the 20K outpost, where that acid pool is.
