Business, commerce, the intricate flow of goods and services through a system, the desperate rush for new capital was a strictly regimented and ancient dance, and Kenneth Anders observed the dance even while he slept.

But to say that Kenneth Anders slept was to be mistaken.

His ocular implants were tuned to no less than fourteen independent gridfeeds across the galaxy, their information condensed and rendered into the rapid eye movements that served as his dreams. From this semi-conciousness he saw the dance with inhuman lucidity, the invisible currents of commerce flowed around him.

The news came as a surprise, Kenneth had known about the Jobe experiments for some time but never did he think that it would come to such a point, this was an opportunity with too much potential to be missed. His eyes snapped open to his darkened apartment. Stepping out of his bed he made his way into his study.

"Secure" he called out once in hs study

In respnse magnetic bolts thudded behind him and the air was filled with a momentary high pitched hum as multiple debugging devices activated.

"Scanning complete" came a melodious female voice "No forigen objects detected, outgoing signal encryption at 97.4% integrity, incoming signal encryption at 93.1%, all systems functional"

"Vocal link to Ms. Ricks, first name, Jane, Jobe Real Estate."

Moments later a woman's voice eminated from hidden speakers, filling the room

"Mr. Anders, a pleasure to hear from you, how can we help you?"

"Yes, Ms. Ricks, I'm interested in purchasing some property..."
