I asked my hubby who's a grad student in molecular biology and biochemestry and he told me two things:
1) Any words he could add will include numbers like names for enzymes, proteins, chemicals and the like.
2) Medical lingo doesn't count towards the longest word because it does preciesely what you've shown above. <g>

Z-glycine-Proline-alanine-leucine-Glycine-phospho-aminobenzoate
