Having just scouted Steps of Madness (and taking the death express back to Omni-1), has anyone got a record of a level 35-45 team actually completing that place? It seems more like you'd need level 60+ to do the job...

The Steps of MAdness were designed so that the "lower level cap" of players able to complete the dungeon were 35-45.
However, that doesn't mean a lvl40 should even remotely consider entering on their own. It's necessary to have at least one - preferrably two or up - balanced team with strong medical support, massive firepower and so forth.
Tactics are necessary. It was supposed to be a challenge, not a walk in the park.
Pilker, OmniTek Fixer and Happy Traveller.
Root and Run - It's a way of life.
Indeed...the dungeon requires a "thoughful" approach...but because of its requirement for people to think...is the reason I believe so many people have trouble with it...
If you want to do the dungeon, try and piece together a good team. And if you want to kill Nelab (sp?) then try and organise it so that at least 2 teams end up in the "boss" room at the same time...
