( The Neo-Luddite Movement is an underground organisation set against robots and all thinking machines. The motivation of the Neo-Luddites vary. Some of them hate robots on philosophical grounds. Others object to them on religious or social-economic grounds. Others still just like going around smashing things. )

From the "Chronicles from the Neo Luddite Rebellion", Chapter IV

One day, when Jethro was addressing the faithful, he told this riddle.

"What walks like a man, talks like a man and yet has no life in itself?"

Promptly the Luddites replied in chorus, "A robot!"

"Very good.. Now tell me this, what no longer walks like a man not talks like a man and still has no life in itself?"

After a moment of hesitation, one of the Luddites replied, "A bot we smashed good?"

Jethro smiled as he was pleased with this answer. And from that day onwards the phrase "Smash the bot!" was to become a rallying cry of Luddites all over the universe.

From the "Chronicles from the Neo Luddite Rebellion", Chapter II

For his son's tenth birthday, Jethro invited all the children in the neighbourhood over to his house and threw a party. He hired a clown to entertain them and they played games like 'Musical Chairs' and 'Pin the Tail on the Bronto'. After lunch Jethro handed each child a bat, hammer, laser-torch or chainsaw and they were let loose on the robot held captive in Jethro's back lawn. Then they had cake and young Neddy opened all his presents.

All in all it was a very successful party.
