    Well, the new Fixer item they're implementing soon is supposed to be something like a 10% increase to all nano skills...that's a good start.

    why not have it so fixers (maybe 1-2 other professions) could not only acess more fixerlike shops but *gasp* QL 125-200 item shops. Now to me thats getting the item everyone wants. Would help lessen the dependent need for AOMD programs too. (still have the shops be random) But then agian, can't certian professions make items beyond QL 125? so really its a fixer only thing. Make em expensive or skill required too, as to not hinder the traders/engies talents of making items (granted once the trade skills work properly)

    Traps is nice and it would be nice to have them but remember someone soloing can avoid 99% of traps/bombs by putting the slider bar on "order"

    I am happy with AOE ammo

    I am happy with fixershop (sparkle plate WOOT)

    I am happy with a mausser, SOL or CMS

    I am not happy with grid armor (smurf!)

    I am not happy with summon line

    I AM HAPPY WITH OUR IP!

    heres why...

    (warning concept alert)

    Ever notice how our trade skills also reflect the same skills in which add on items for combat fall under.

    Yatamuchy movement predictor.
    Weapon smithing
    Perception

    Low light Targeting scope (when it comes back)
    Mech engie and something else (I think)

    Nano range increaser (this rocks with yatamuchy, listed why below)

    Comp lit

    Now if you add the following (this is kind of high game)
    -%nano cost
    -% interrupt of nanos
    2 (64) NCU chips
    + nano init (or a 3rd 64 ncu chip)

    gives you a good chance of holding out well in a fight


    We are ment to be (IMO) 1/2 fighter 1/4 skills 1/4 nano

    if you use the nano ranged increaser with Yatamuchy movement you can actually fight fairly well outdoors (in doors I got something else) you can root them out of distance or snare them and keep a much larger distance with the gun now. you can resnare or root before they are in range...least til they resist to much or your out of nanos.

    Now indoors

    I can solo oranges doing this, i'm not OE'ed at all either, I can take off or put on items without a problem. It just takes some time to kill them.

    have your Hot Running, keep your dodges high and when you get to about half health root them, go around corner and heal from hot and if need be, from general healing nano or first aid. then pop back around for AOE ammo and burst ammo shots. Root agian go around corner at half health (or just keep distance in main room/big rooms and root/shoot)

    this depending on the mobs (adventurers are the hardest, same with NT's for this) you should be able to drop them within 3-5 minutes.

    I get 6.5k a kill doing this from oranges

    OK a few things....

    no. 1..when the new LLTS goes live, it'll be perception based.

    no 2. You're talking about root and shoot, old EQ concept..works great in theory but....

    no 3. Nanos? Yippee..I can just about fire off a QL 40ish root/snare at 64....that'll root an orange..riiiiight...

    no 4 That tactic works welll when you're a heavy damage dealer. We are not.

    no 5 When mobs can quit hitting me through doors from 80 feet away, I'll believe this'd work.

    thats fine and works fine

    perception is also used by the yatamuchy which is fine

    and I root reds with my nanos fine, though they do resist more

    and doesn;t matter then damage if they are out of reach does it?


    just because you can't get it to work doesn't mean I can't.

    Works fine when i do it, suffer the old fashion way, and keep cryin with everyone else. This works, doesn't matter to me if you do it or not.

    You seem to forget that this is AO, where for many people mobs regularly fly through walls and attack from across the mission, rooted or not.

    Just because YOU can do it doesn't mean this is a valid high level tactic. You make it sound as if this is a novel strategy... when it isn't. It's been tried and dumped already because it doesn't work 99% of the time, and when it DOES work it takes too freakin' long when you need 5 million xp to level.

    Personally, I lost my patience with the tedium of soloing long ago and I only level in teams. 6.5k every 3-5 minutes is nothing compared to 40k every 30 seconds.

    Amen to that..team missions is the way to go..one hour and I get a level? it's like 5-6 hours solo!
