Cathern had been sitting in The Cup with her apprentice Rivenna going over some of the training sessions from a couple days ago...mostly involving proper weapon care. The discussion had been interrupted by a opifex woman named Bittsy.
Bittsy introduced herself and started asking some questions about Cathern's step-sister, Shawnta. Bittsy explained that there was a debt that was owed. Cathern replied, "How much does she owe?" thinking that her drunken stim junkie sister own some dealer money. Bittsy replied that it was she who owed Shawnta the debt and had been searching for her for a long time. This completely took Cathern by suprise.
Cathern pressed Bittsy for information about this debt owed to her sister. Bittsy was evasive however and said that she would only relate her tale to Shawnta. Cathern tried to bluff Bittsy into talking by saying that Shawnta was very busy and it could be a days before she would have free time to meet. Bittsy stood her ground though and said she would wait for Shawnta. She said her good bye's then excused herself to the other side of The Cup.
Cathern turned to her apprentice and said, "I have a task for you." Cathern instructed her apprentice to keep an eye on Bittsy. Cathern opened a comm-link to her sister and instructed her she needed to go to The Cup. Someone owed her some money or something, playing on her sister's materialistic nature.
Cathern then excused herself and left The Cup...confident that her young apprentice would be able to report back the details of conversation. It should prove interesting indeed.
