As I stand here firing on my old friends and siding with these clanners I had once sworn to kill, my only thoughts are the events that landed me in this God forsaken situation. I was betrayed by my best friend whom I loved like a brother. We joined omni tek together and swore that we would always watch each others back and help each other climb the ranks. Friends since we were children. We use to play omni and clanners out in the streets. It all started yesterday morning if thats accurate, I am not sure. There is no way I could have arrived this far into clan territory in a days travel. Anyhow, I was asked to go to omni tek HQ and meet with someone named General Smith. I walked up to the receptionist and was escorted to a rather large room on the 15th floor. This of course was not unusual but I did become su****ious something was up when I saw a 15 man security detail standing at attention against a wall. Perhaps I was just being naiive and thought this was a very important meeting.
As I opened the door and walked in I saw 4 officers, and my best friend standing there staring at me. "Sorry brother, but sometimes sacrifices must be made" with a tear streaming down his face, was all he said, before I felt something strike me in the back of the head and darkness falling upon me. Sure enough I woke up to shooting and bombs going off in this distance, I am dressed in plain civilian clothes. As I woke up I saw a group of clanners 30 feet in front of me with their back to me firing and shouting orders. Anger was all I could feel surging through my body. As I sat up a very pretty female ran to me and started asking me if I was ok and who I was ? "Merchant, was heading towards a meeting to pick up supplies" I replied, She looked at me almost su****iously. That's when we heard "were being overrun! Retreat ! Retreat!" She yelled at me and told me "pick up his gun and help us!". I followed her eyes and 1 foot away there was a body with its head shot clean right off (If I was still in Omni tek I would have been thinking the only good clanner is a dead one). I picked up his backpack and assault rifle and began shooting towards the tekkers. A strange feeling I tell you, to side with your enemy and shoot at your family. (at least thats how I felt about any omni tek. My family). She grabbed my arm and started pulling me. Hatred ! I wanted to stand there and shoot the tekkers all day. Now I have to find out why I was betrayed and take his life. For now I will fight with clan until I figure out my next move or come across and opportunity...........
