If any of you have played Fallout 1 or 2, this story will really sound familiar. These games both had an awesome story line and wicked gameplay, and they definently deserved an AO tribute

Well, if youre sure youve got awhile..heres my story..

I come from a planet called Exo. The history of my planet speaks for itself. Sometime around the year 12,000..many people left the starving Earth to find other hospitable planets...many miles into the dark universe, they stumbled upon two healthy planets that greatly resembled Earth. The great fleet known as the "Exodus" divided their people among the two planets, which they aptly named Exodus-1 and Exodus-2, over the many years, however, the planets became known as Exo and Exon.

Exo and Exon grew apart in the 15,000 years that followed. We kept a loose trade alliance going for many years. Then we lost complete touch with Exon. Exo, although much warmer and temperate than Exon, soon revealed to its inhabitants it had a lacking supply of resources, especially the petrolium needed to fuel our cars and machines.

My planet consisted of 4 major continents known as Amania, Euronius, Asiaki, and Arabico- all derived from their ancient-earthen founders.

I am unsure of my birth name and true age, but ill explain why later. I can recall, however, being a citizen of the Amania City States- Known as the ACS. Around the year 26000, I recall, resources were nearly depleted- and the massive military power that was the ACS merged with the citizens of Euronius to form the Amanius Alliance- and they began attacking Asiaki and Arabico for what little resources they had left.

As I said before...I cant give you exact dates or details...floating in space for 1000's of years does a number on your memory...

I can remember as a kid, all my shows getting interrupted by all sorts of war propaganda, like BUY WAR BONDS and clips showing our boys kicking ass to the east, we all felt invicible.

My parents worked for Vault Tek- the company responsible for manufacturing the majority of our troops weaponary and various robots, such as Mr. Handy here. They were a mass corporation, a monopoly that had huge power over Amania, much like Omni-Tek in many ways.

Vault-Tek, however, was most renowned for its creation of the vaults- massive underground shelters incase of a nuclear attack...we had monthly drills...when the end of our world as we knew it came..no one was ready, it was put off as just another drill...

Nobody knew who struck first..it didnt really matter..the earth was nearly wiped clean of life..all of humankind was nearly extinguished by an atomic spark..one lit my human hands..

I am unsure how it happened, and it truly doesnt matter, but I managed to get into a vault with just a few others. Was it luck? No, it was fate. Harsh fate.

Regardless, 3 years passed...or maybe it was 6...never the less, the solitution drove many people crazy. Our vault was not completed you see, it lacked entertainment and light above 20watts...dark and boring. For my own sanity and safety, I fled the vault to find sanction elsewhere, I was about 16 years old, I think.

I roamed the waste for many years, how many, I dont know...its something I truly dont enjoy looking back on. I spent most of the time even more alone then I was in the vault, barely surviving off pre-war stock piles, made bitter and putrid from the nuclear radiation. One day I came across a town full of unfortunate individuals that didnt make it to a vault, but to my complete shock, they still lived and breathed as if the bombs were never dropped, but the radiation did a number on their bodies and they looked like the living dead. They told me of a device left behind from before the war, sheilded from the bomb by miles of earth. I ventured into the deep caverns and came across a flawless Cryo Expulsion Unit- most likely meant for the mayor of this now ruined town to blast safely into space.

With a little enginuity and a chipped passkey, I was able to propell myself into space in hopes of finding Exon.
Being the radiated idiot that I was, I failed to realize the true meaning of "Cryo"...

I was frozen for hundreds, maybe thousands of years before I landed in the sandy deserts of Rubi-Ka. The intense heat melted the cryogenic ice that covered my body, and I crawled from the smoldering Cryo Unit only to be greeted with a gun to my head.

I was escorted to Omni-1 for questioning, after a few hours of interrogation they deemed my harmless. Seeing as I had no name, they began calling me VAULTEK, after the worn red lettering that was discovered on my shuttle.

I was handed citizenship papers and was happy to discover they spoke a form of English much like the form I was accustomed to back on Exo. They asked me what I was good at doing..."I can fix Mr. Handy's, pretty well..." I muttered. After a bit of deliberation, they figured a Mr. Handy was some form of robot, and they were right. I was grafted with an NCU and learnt the basics of nanos and Rubi-Ka'n robotics.

I was assigned an apartment and a job in Omni-1, and here I am..so...what is it that you do?

Vaultek stares as if hes told the unbelievable story a million times.

( Well seriously dude, even ive beat up a few Trade Guards before in good fun, but seeing as youre a clanner and all I just had to say something

Regardless, theyre not all that tough. Go to Omni-Tek HQ and go kill some supremes, THEN ill be impressed. Theyre about the same difficulty as Sentinals, id say. )
