Roleplaying an OT fixer?

How do you fixers roleplay full support of OmniTek? I can fully see how the fixer fits the clan hacker theme very easily, but I was just curious how fixers portray themselves in more structured loyal combat units....

Fixers have always been all about profit. Thats what OT is all about. Roleplay a greedy Fixer, that lives for profit.

You are the counter hackers. You're the elite computer ops that OT has hired to combat the Clan hackers and crackers that seek to topple OT Mainframes and Supercomputers.

Also, I'm sure the clans have some computers to hack as well.

The fixers in my department have generally been black-ops type personallities. While agents specialise in assasination type situations, fixers are either counter-corporate espionage (takes a hacker to catch a hacker) and spy/hackers themselves. Then I've also seen special forces fixers, gung-ho and guts and all that.

All sorts of different ways, that's just a couple.

They created te Grid. But it is not known who created the Fixer Grid. The large unicorn on the bottom floor of the Fixer Grid is rumored to be the Mascot of a large offworld corporation though.

I see... so being that OT made the grid ... their "computer operatives"... being fixers.... use it for travel, and recon.. etc.

All that's been said in this thread would do. Greed,, working as counter-hacker, spying, gathering intel using the means of the grid and the Fixers' way of collecting info 'the shady way', why not network security too... Besides, if you want to play a Fixer that ses to think s/he needs the best to work, what better place than OT to give her the needed technology? Even if as a Clan Fixer, you could hack supplies too.

As for the nanos... well, 'loyal OT citizen' doesn't always mean 'obedient', and this despite what the Clanners will tell you about us being sooo brainwashed, huh. Ask Bonefish about me someday *lol* More seriously, if really it's a problem for you, consider it a little bonus given to you by the company- you do a dangerous job for them, they close their eyes on your actions when you need some 'stuff'. That is, when you RP theloyal conounter-hacker thing. If you play a criminal, well, OT is money, and the hell with them, let's hack insurance.

Oh, and about the Fixer Grid - I know it sounds funny, but I'd almost like to think it's sort of living by itself... Somewhat like the Digital Web or even the Junklands... and now that it's been created, who can say who really has control over it?

It’s an old earth saying from some prophet. I think his name was Red Floyd or Azure Floyd or some such color. I'm sure it was a color, I just can't remember it right now.

You'll note his use of gas with money. It is quite profound how he, so many eons ago, would draw the parallel between the act of gathering of credits and what it can give you. He truly was a man before his time.

Who says everyone whos a member of omni tek always plays by the rules? Im sure there are those who would do things without Omni-teks knowlege for omni-tek but using things behind their back. OT might like this...if the work gets done and helps them. What OT doesnt know doesnt hurt them.
