Hai!
Would have assumed more forum life since the release on steam, you guys not showing the newbies here or what!? :P
The forum population has always been a small fraction of the in-game population.
Every now and then I get the urge to resub but again I log in froob and chat around abit. See nothing being done to the game and check some youtube vid about the rampant sploits around. Poof: the urge to sub is gone and my money is supporting some other company.
Most people who like me were active for years are on a "do random stuff until sub runs out and so long after" basis and some not even that, like we cared about 2-3 months of gametime on year subs , no one in his right mind is gonna pay to be the last fool that plays legit in an otherwise sploited to oblivion repetition of decades worth of "material" . I saw yesterday a toon the bots show to be 150/10 ding ai30 to give ya a clue...
My subscription is active through February 2019 and I don't even log on anymore.
Nopes, this company is not getting my money anymore.
Just like Funcom has abandoned the game, no one from Funcom has posted since Feb 22nd, 2017.
The game hasn't been as empty as the forums. It is lower in population, especially at night times in US and Oceanic zones, but still active. We've mostly just abandoned the forums since we see zero significant FC interaction here in a long time.
a lot of people came back this week, including me. seems about the same :) could always be better tho.
i also came back for 1 month just to see how things are around anniversary. things seem normal to me for the last 5+ years.
I took a break of 3 weeks because I didn't want to burn out on the anniversary madness.
I even forgot about the anniversary. Desert Nomads around or are they offline as well? :P
Funcom should make AO F2P while they aren't working on it
Good luck with that ! AO for FC is just the remnants of ... let's say a lemon, long ago squeezed out of anything useful, but because they are too cheap to slice a new one and throw it away, they keep squeezing and squeezing , in vain, for a few more droplets until it ... disintegrates in their hands :P
