"Smilodon (Sabretooth) is thought to be related to roaring cats like lions and tigers, and it was built more like a bear than a modern lion. It had a fairly small brain, and the jaw muscles were bigger. And of course, the long-bladed canines would be its most obvious feature. " - quote from Discovery Channel website on Smilodon
Kinda suggests that the animal was cumbersome and slow
In other words: Fat Kitties = slow
I dunno...why do cars have armor penalties? :)
Cat/Dragon line: Meant for combat, not travel. Slow, but highest combat bonuses.
Wolf line: Mix of combat and travel bonuses. Not as strong or as fast as either specialized morph line.
Reet line: Meant for travel, not combat. Fastest, but combat not possible.
Simple.
You ever try to outrun a bear? I'm guessing not- since you can still type.Quote:

Because they're fat.
And cheetahs are more dog than cat.
/G13
They are slow so we don't have to wait for doors to appear :D
Smilodon was more similar to the Hyena, rather than the Lion. It had a hunched over back, powerful fore-arms.
The thing was a scavenger.
So was T Rex. T-Rex skeletal structures have been analyzed by biomechanical engineers to show that it couldn't possibly run. A real T-Rex trying to run as it would in "Jurassic Park" would fall on its ass & break its neck.
Same thing with the Sabertooth.
Scavengers don't run fast, for the most part. They kick whatever's eating a carcass out of the way, though. So the bonus/disadvantage config on the cat makes sense, unfortunately.
Still sucks though.
Incorrect, out of all the morphs the only one less useful than dragon self/other/team is flurry of feathers team i believe it is, and that's cause said nano does not actually do anything at allQuote:

My cat just rolled over and fell off the couch.
So graceful and agile.
Most animals, even the large cumbersome ones, are faster than humans.
Even the comparison to a bear is silly, since a bear can easily outrun a human. Didn't anyone ever warn you of that when you went camping? ;)
Sabretooth's are usually compared to bears when talking about their running speed...and bears can generally run up to about 30 miles per hour.

While the usefulness of the Dragon morph is debatable, with its outdoors restriction and when compared to CF: Sabertooth DMG vs. AC bonuses (who really needs that much more AC at higher levels), it does not change the fact that the Cat/Dragon line was created with the intention that it was a combat, and not travel, morph.Quote:

Yeah, but I guess it did land on its feet, and walked of pretending it was an intended move :)Quote:
