I was just curious if there was any news about the books that I missed? I enjoyed the first one so I was hoping more would come out... they didn't scrap em did they?

Another one is not being planned
According to Ragnar Tornquist's weblog, there were originally plans for Books 2 & 3, but since he left, they are not being written.
He apparently, however, has notes for the next two installments, and said that he may make them public at a later date.
