Don't nerf agent's AS again.
If u want AS nerfed as u say, many agents only get 1 special during the entire fight, 1 special as in, use it once then rely entirely on regular shots.
If u want AS nerfed as u say, give it a chance to do 100% dmg. Otherwise, don't try to take away our one and only special.
./me empites a bucket of paint over Pat and all other nerfcriers...
But I agree that if the fast guns who have AS(itacha?), recharges insanely fast, and a SMG with burst every 8 seconds, that is too much.
I use a "slow" rifle ,and I never get off more than 1 AS during a fight, the only special I have, so dont dare scream nerf AS and SA here, rather point to the prob that recharge might too quick?

But a change in recharge on the fast weapons is probably better actually:)
and for the record, I use Ithaca on 2 of my lvl 125+ toons(MP and trader), so it would affect me with a change, but I still think AS work in wrong way now.
Maybe it should work as a normal fling or something (max damage same as a crit) if you do it in middle of fight?
Don't nerf my Sneak Attack! There are far worse things in AO that are more deserved of the nerf stick than AS and Sneak Attack at the moment.
Why not make it so that all healings heal up for 30% of your total HP then?
I think that is only fair to the professions that this desired nerf is aimed for, Pat.

As minor sidenote, I'd like to see that you cannot do a "alpha" as I'd like to see you stand there and aim, fling, burst and full auto. Where is the realism in that? And I am sure Soldiers would love some "realism" there.
Let see, what else? Oh, you cannot fling if you are closer than five meters away as your opponent would read your moves. Sounds realistic to me. Burst and such also apply there. And I'd like to see a nerf to MAs\Advs that heals while they fight. They have to concentrate on one thing at the time.
Does these ideas sound unfair? Good, because that is what that desired nerf to aimed shot and sneak attack is as well.
Don't suggest something unless you have a solution to the problem.
The idea of making AS work as fling was brought to the agent community once. It got the thumbs down and the person whoever suggested it had to apologize for being the mind behind it.Quote:

I am shocked, you have a agent and yet, you remain ignorant to the profession.
I get it set it so Agents can only use AS once in a fight (at the beginning) and Agents will always lose their duels making everyone happy. Agents only get one special let them use it its the only chance they have of actually winning PvP without it they have no chance at all. If Agents become one shot wonders again then they need to have their AS damage at full instead of being limited by a Dmg cap because their only chance then of winning the fight is that first shot if that didn't kill you, you'd heal it then finish the Agent off and well nobody would play an Agent after that.
Dont even think about nerfing the AS for Agents. If you have soo many issues with AS from profs using non pure rifles then take the aimed shot reqs off them. They took away the whole point of AS for Agents in 12.6 .. a big one shot hit at the start of fight and then lower damage (but people moaned about "uber Agents can kill me with one shot" so it went).
Remember long PvP fights for agents are a very very very bad idea
a) we have a single special
b) We have no fast effective HoTs
.. thats why we like to keep a long way away (only we cant due to the range cap).
So I have to PvP once NW comes out dont shout Nerf .. otherwise perhaps we will ask for nerfs to the healing abilities of other classes ....

"aimed shot" is not a "hidden shot"!
in my point of view its a shot where you take your time to hit a certain point off the body.
so it sure has to hurt more than other shots.(not 40%)
and why cant i take my time in mid fight to aim your right eye?
so if i say "take my time" we can talk about this shot needing xtra time...ok...but then without special recharge time.
cause the long special recharge on aimed is due to the touch of reality that an aimed shot takes time.
and to be honest patk9...i dont think you have problems killing an agent.....we are gimps! ubergimps!
so if you wanna change aimedshot,leave out agents with any changes or let agents slightly take benefit from the changes.
dont spit on a already dead prof.
agent is far from beeing what his profession should be.
i dont wanna be a dmg dealer..i wanna be a sniper....and only thing which comes near to that is firing off an aimed shot.
so....if i start a fight i wanna have a chance to win it.....if the opponent adv,enf whatever starts : im smashed...no problem with that...
agents are not supposed to kill an enf in open confrontation,but they are supposed to pick out a certain target and finish it off quickly.(and run/hide afterwards... :)
so if we change aimed shot,we have to change it for all profs...and we have to change it for agents in another way...
we have to split an aimed shot discussions between aimed shot for agents and aimed shot for other profs....
of cause we will never reach reality status with changes,cause we have one shot kills then....so if you wanna play a game you have to let reality beside alittle bit....
all you are able to do is to transfer reality into gameplay as far and as close to the original behaviour as possible.....
you started such an thought an i think you are right as far as "aimed shot" is not doing what it should do.
and what it should do is discussable of course.
and whatever the change may be...be sure....you will not have to fear agent prof......
i doubt fc´´s gonna do some step to solve the conflict wanting longer lasting fights and the agent supposed to kill fast or die.

lol why my doctor never get aim shot like this in middle pvp matches? Only hit someone with massive AS like that very few times.
Destructiva sums it up pretty well. I need not say more other than
nerfing AS is not an option unless you give Agents some other special.
Same.. the 2k+ AS shots are rare and I fee lucky if I do. Remove my AS and i do even more gimp damage then I do.
agree both attacks either require preparation or suprise.
If you nerf AS in PvP you nerf AS in PvM. Don't think FC is going to make two diffrent settings for it. (read too much work)

It's so funny to hear all those melee professions complain about aimed shot in PvP and use "realism" as an argument. Agents have felt the nerf bat to many times allready, and aimed shot is "our" special. We don't have any heals, we don't have evades, we don't have much HP.... we have damage as our way of survival in PvP and this have been nerfed over and over again 12.6 -->14.6. Aimed nerf = Agent nerf = /quit.
Loosing to a doc is not because of AS its because of heals, nerfing AS is one of the most stupid suggestions ever.
I just want to say that I agree with Destructiva. I think this is silly to ask for the nerfing of someone else. I think Patk9 is pissed about himself getting nerfed with FOB so now he asks for a nerf of a few other professions (agents directly, myself included since I use Ithica). Come on now, this is how stupid crap gets nerfed for no reason.
Hmm.. Agents have 1 AS per fight... SO what if it does 40% of your hp?!
The rest of our damage is crap and by the time weve cast concentration Most of the time we are dead anyway. The rest of the time it lags and we lose 6 seconds of a 6 second buff.
Also our HP is one of the lowest so it only stands to reason that we should have a devestatingly powerful, opening or mid fight attack.
Look at a Sol... Good HO, 75% Mirror shield + FA, Burst alpha...
FA 40% of dmg everytime, Burst 40% damage a lot of the time. Very good reg dmg.
Enf : GODLY HP!! Behemoth.... More alphas and specials than you can shake a stick at and awesome reg dmg with a queen blade.
Do me a favour... the last of your troubles are with AS...
